Well the Bolts just couldn't get it done. I agree that was some fight and to go at it again right out of the box was wild! For a team that didn't even make the play offs last year I have to say they had a hell of a season this year, and my hat is off to them. Just couldn't get it done. I gotta get behind the Knights, expansion team, underdog and all, and I just can't route for the Caps. Beside Ovechkin touched the trophy so you know how that goes!

I was a temporary Bolts fan, 'til they lost out.
Now I'm rooting for the Caps just on general principle.
I truly hope they murder everyone on the GK team just to add to the spectacle...

I knew you were sour, just couldn’t figure out why!

No worries, I’m with you. That intro was over the top; but, it is Vegas, what do you expect?

I’m torn because my team didn’t even make the playoffs and I’d love to see Vegas win in their innaugural season; but, I’d LOVE to see Ovechkin finally get one.

As much as I’d like to witness history, I’m also in the Caps camp for this series.

I've been admiring the Ove for a long time, but I'm with Vegas here.

I missed the opening, but it's show biz, how bad could it be. Vegas is a fun town, I'd expect nothing less than glitz and showtime sparkle.

I missed the first game since the wife (aka boss) had me painting my hands off this whole three day weekend. Relatives coming in town Friday so I had to get it done before they arrive. You know how it is once they get their mind set on something for you to do! So since I am getting behind the Knights it's good to see they won the first one.

Fleury hasn't looked as flawless these past 2 games.

Looks like the NHL wants this to go 7 games too. An embellishment penalty when the knight was pulled down? GTFO.

At least Vegas can win the whole thing at home now.

I thought I was watching a play unfold in front of me before the game, pretty elaborate pre-game show. Something out of Excaliber or something. Good up and back hockey tonight so far. The Caps penalty kill is strong tonight for the most part, saved a few from going on the board. Fleury not having his best game tonight but he will bounce back....

That was a great game, happy to see VGK's momentum slowed at least for one game.
Was kinda hoping for OT but then decided I didn't have the legs for it tonite

Very close - they missed a tied game in the last couple of minutes by the width of a goalie stick...and half a post.
That paddle save by Holtby was crazy...

Holtby was also luck that the puck wasn't lifted, as there was a fully open net there. Somehow, the puck found the flat face of the stick. I was hoping for OT there.

I really like the Vegas pregame shows.
But then, I also think "It has all the class of Slap Shot..." to be a compliment.
The Hanson Brothers do not understand the embellishment penalty either.

And I thought the Tuch shot was his miss more than a Holtby save. Though you got give Holtby credit for making the miss slightly more possible.

Meh. One can always debate if a save was just lucky (especially when 90% of the goal mouth was unobstructed) but Holtby put his stick where the puck was, so...

Aaaaanyway, if there has to be a pre-game opening, I prefer some real action!
