I just started my first real batch yesterday. I opened my fermenting chamber today and there is a nice layer of foam so its definitely working. however the top of the bubbler seemed to be pushed up a bit and there weren't any bubbles coming out of the airlock.
I read through some of the forums and realize that this may be a common problem. My question is this: as long as the lid stays somewhat one, and the BMB stays in the fermenting chamber will the brew be ok? I had to push it back down to seal today when i checked on it.
Its a Chinook Red Ale from NB and it is in a chest freezer with a temperature controller.
thanks in advance,
Rob
