Y'all pretty stoked for Gratitude day?
I love how they couldn't think of new ideas, so they came up with an old school packaging "variant" that costs $6 more than the regular bottle thats only 3.4 less ounces.

They could try making BA Grat not be awful... That would be an idea. The can I had of last years batch tasted like someone dumped a fistful of dirt in it.
I thought the first year of BA Grat was really damn good. Subtle barrel character that highlighted the what made the base beer so good (when it was "on").
Was the second release when they went to the cans? I think that was the one that was way too sweet with almost no barrel character.
Haven't had it since then.
So...the limited, premium, wax dipped Gratitude is the base beer and the common sit around on the shelves for a bit in a can Gratitude is bourbon barrel aged? And the per ounce price is cheaper for the barrel aged than the non barrel aged?
Obviously I'm missing something here, right?

A little birdie told me that they f'd up the recipe that year, and didn't disclose it to anyone. Just went ahead and sold it.

Tbf this is the same brewery that screwed up a batch of BigHop and sold it anyway. At least they had the decency to call it something else that time.
Has anyone seen this yet? Do we know if this is legit or a hoax? Seems like a hoax given the way it's written.![]()
It got posted in a few of the FB groups, with no context that I've seen. One person claimed the letter was sent to someone in Virginia, apparently in response to getting caught shipping beer, but I don't know if that's verified or not. Like I said, seems like it could be a hoax, but I don't know.
Can Big Hop really get much worse than it's original recipe?
Add 5000lbs of Crystal malt and you tell me
