My first show on WRCT was called One Drop Soup, I've just hung on to the name for 17 years.

"DG and BG are both better than HF cause when i want DG or BG beer i just drive down the road and get some, that means they are better. Copy that paste that print that, if you disagree eat a **** taco and walk your ass to church." -Jeff Jimerson, Nov, 1989.

Is this a local celebrity I just never heard of? He's sitting next to me at the poker table right now.

So on a scale of zero to infinity, how rustled are yinz right now?

I'm not a Steelers fan, but they got jobbed yo.
Can't believe they actually sacrificed a nun at midfield, that's just crazy! The NFL is out of hand!

I have no idea what happened, I just know yinzers are ******* pissed.

I don't think they got jobbed. On that call, sure, but that's only a single play. Overall the Steelers had a zillion opportunities to do more during the 59:30 leading up to that stupid call. I hate when people point to a single play or player as a point of blame for a loss. We controlled that game, should have clobbered them. For once, I feel like the Steelers are clearly the better team, even if Gronk might be the best player.

If I had to pick something to whine about, it certainly wouldn't be that rule, it would be the fact that we can never seem to play the Pats with our full compliment of playmakers. Last year's playoff loss was Bell and this game, AB goes down. That dude is easily worth an additional TD for the Steelers in that game and would have made a ton of that second half ******** moot.

Ironically, I was drinking Celebration most of the night.

The lack of a PI call on the final play was pretty rough. After I posted that, the more I discussed it the more I agreed that the no TD was the proper application of the rule. I think the rule is dumb, but that's a different discussion all together.

Allowing Davis to continue to try to man up Gronk though after he had abused him time and time again was a pretty egregious coaching misstep as well.

The last play was a stupid decision. Didn't deserve PI. Should have never been thrown.

The no TD was definitely the right call, but it's a dumb rule. They need to repeal a good bit of that rule, but most of all, I feel that if the ball is possessed at the time it crosses the goal line, that play should be over at that point. It's a TD.

I think this was a classic case of "[insert star player] is gonna get his, take away the rest".

Who on our team could cover Gronk? Davis was in position the majority of the time, Gronk's just a ******* beast (Starkey called him a Monster Truck in his PG piece today - this is accurate)

(for the record, preluderl started #steelerstalk.com)

Others may not have had more luck covering him, but at that point it was pretty obvious that he was in Davis' head and he had zero shot. You can't just say "welp, he's real good!" and not even try someone else. Would he have beaten them too? Solid chance, but that's not the point.

Agree to disagree on the PI. I think it was, and I don't have any skin in the game... I don't care if the Steelers win or not. But it was a fun game to watch until it all went to pot with the chaos at the end.

Not saying it was or wasn't PI. To be honest, I haven't even seen a replay. I'm just saying that to me it's irrelevant because the ball should have been thrown out of the back of the end zone and we deserved what happened as a result of the poor decision to throw it.

I can agree with you I suppose on Gronk/Davis...but to me, it's also irrelevant cause the man can't be stopped and you can't waste a second defender to double him up cause Brady would take advantage. Shrug.

Yeah I think you just switch off to someone else on Gronk and let them have a shot at it. Like I said, great chance he beats them too, but Davis had zero chance at that point. On the 2 pt conversion he wasn't even competitive in coverage, but obviously you can't afford to double team him down there.

One thing is for sure, Gronk is going to live forever in Davis' nightmares.

Last time I tried to talk about Pittsburgh beer ITT, about KING DANCING GNOME, like one person replied to it... So I just figured we would go back to our normally scheduled programming of **** posting and whatnot.

Anyway, here's Wonderwall.

Can we talk about how many beer releases there are this week?

As long as you accompany it with a humorous gif.

I think I might hit up that DG release, along with a quick jaunt over to Roundabout to grab some of them Heini's. What else is going on?

What position do you play? Are you just a special teamer?
