Yeah, I'm sure the bottle count is pretty high.

There's a DG can release at 4 tomorrow for a new beer so I'm guessing that will likely have some effect on how many folks go out for this one too. Wilds/saisons also don't move the needle in these parts like stouts and hops do.

These bottles are 375mL instead of the 750mL the previous bottles were released in. Seems to me we get the same amount of beer without the signups.

Edit: I also hope I have an empty growler in the trunk for some Mammoth.

I kinda prefer 375 or 500ml bottles for things like this anyway.

The older I get, the less I like 750ml bottles.

Wow, why?? By all accounts they were doing well right? Off to google.

On a related note, I haven't heard one peep about the Charlotte location since they announced it. I keep asking around and no one knows anything. I wonder if them leaving Portland is a good thing for me (more resources poured into Charlotte launch)...or bad (rethinking their presence in other markets).

EDIT: press release states "Fat Head’s will now concentrate efforts in growing their production brewery and brand in Ohio, Pennsylvania and neighboring states."

Is NC a "neighboring state"? If not, Ima be pisssssssssed if they retract their plans to come down here. But would also completely understand, with their current Ohio expansion and now this Portland news, if they decided to rethink their company vision a bit. But I feel like Charlotte is made up of like 50% midwesterners/northerners and would be extremely welcoming of a midwest brewery if it made its way down here. Very different population base than Portland.

I really liked Whole Punch Guava which surprised me a bit seeing as how I've been iffy on the milkshake IPAs traditionally and I don't tend to care much for guava either. It really worked though, so I'm curious to try more.
