While we're at it, I'm really out of touch with the outer ring of breweries in Butler, Indiana, Sarver and whenever else they are. I've been to Fury but what else outside of Allegheny County is worth blowing off a Sunday to visit?
East side reporting in:
Levity Brewing in Indiana is worth a trip. I've been meaning to make it to Noble Stein which is near there as well. Disobedient Spirits is in the area as well.

Not sure if the Ligonier famer's market is still running, but a summertime favorite is to hit it up and stop at Four Seasons. All Saints is out in that general vicinity as well and you could also lump in Yellow Bridge which I keep hearing good things about.

The bruery has black tuesday bottles for sale through their website today. They're offering pickup in Washington DC through the end of January. I'm sure some of yinz will be interested. https://www.thebruerystore.com/shop/detail?item=black-tuesday-2017

This is super tempting and I'm in DC a ton, but my wallet has burst into flames after the past week.

In regards to Abjuration, I definitely welcome some more farmhouse ales in our neck of the woods. That's also the reason why I hope Spring Hill ends up being solid. Though if not, at least I can still enjoy something Greg was involved with and spin my old Warzone Womyn and Slices records.

Is anyone knowledgeable of the street where Abjuration is located? My wife lived in Montour, and I would have to drive through this area to get to her house. It's going to be interesting to see how this place fares, because no joke, it is located on one the roughest areas in Pittsburgh, and I can imagine people not feeling safe parking and walking on this street.

I've had some stuff from Levity & Noble Stein, Four Seasons is killing it lately & All Saints I've always enjoyed. Yellow Bridge is completely off my radar, good stuff?

I don’t mind taking my kid out places all around the city on the weekend, he enjoys going to breweries. But the rocks is real bad right now. That area makes you feel uneasy just passing though. I won’t take my family to this area unless something changes, but there is no change in sight.

What brewery is in the rocks? Abjuration? If so, that’s a really unfortunate bad pick for a location.

Honestly though...if haze or barrels or fruit, there will be lines.

I mean....homestead.

Yes, but homestead looks like a progressive and clean city compared to the rocks.

For sure. There is a pizza place on Broadway Ave, which is where Abjuratjon is located, that has a giant sign on the window with the picture of a gun that says "don't do it". I hope this doesn't come off as insensitive, but it definitely is a scary area. There is a police station across the street though.

I'm happy to hear that they are opening. Seems like they had a long journey, and it's awesome to see that their hard work paid off.

There's really only ever been one part of the city I've been to in my 5+ years of living in this part of the world that ever made me uncomfortable. I really don't think the city is bad at all as a whole. Having said that, I don't think I've ever even driven through McKees Rocks. I get that real estate prices are probably nil but if customers aren't comfortable going to the area, one would think it might be worth spending the extra money and going to a different neighborhood.

I think that them not getting the brewpub (or whatever it’s technically called) license was a blessing in disguise. I don’t think people would just hang out there or go to a movie, so grab and go seems best.
