I have an exciting last minute work trip to wonderful Allentown, PA. Anything worth stopping at while I'm here?

Last time I was out that way (for work too), I swung wide north on the ride out and hit up Berwick Brewing, and then up to Sabatini's--the latter has bad pizza but nice taps and a substantial bottle selection. It's an hour from Allentown, but I'd lots of time between events. Not sure if Sole starting offering drafts out of their production facility (they weren't when I was out there), but it's only 25--30 minutes from Allentown proper.

Big fan of sabatinis. I forgot sole has their own place now so maybe I can check that out.

Drive to Pottsville. Go see the Yuengling Brewery
I have never been there and Pottsville is on the way home. There's a gigantic Sam Adams brewery out here too. I guess they have big production breweries like that all over the country.

I bet those chocolates are amaze.

Pre-traded my chocolates for a losing powerball ticket and somehow already broke the glass. **** my life.

I dunno, as much as Yinzers love to line up they also are typically ill-prepared and hate the rain.

My advice clwatt3 : The pre-traders and folks who complain yet still buy are always itching to get there first. If you can swing a trip on Thursday or Friday to BG then you can probably avoid some of the crowds and still get that Double Lustra.

Edit: You should probably run to BG to ensure you get there before preluderl

Second edit: If you do go to Dancing Gnome and head to BG tomorrow I would love to try a can of that Double Lustra :D

The Yuengling Brewery is worth the stop Especially if you can do a tour

Those probably dont stand a chance of lasting till 530-6, right?

Double Mex line or Double Lustra...

I concur with greg4579

I really don't care about cans, gonna try and slide in there around 6:30-7 and drink some the old fashioned way. You up for that old man McMatt7?

Yes, let's drink draft beer in Sharpsburg tonight. I'll see you after work.

EDIT: I'll drive if you buy me a fried eggplant torta

If you guys had to pick one torta to rule them all, which torta would it be? Verde Chicken torta, Verde Portobello torta, Fried Eggplant torta, or Rojo Beef torta?

I heard Pgh Tortas includes the price of your napkins in the cost of the torta itself. I am pissed. Royally pissed....

While at my sister's this past Saturday (near Mercer) I was talking with my brother-in-law and the new Voodoo Grove City location came up. He heard they are opening right before Thanksgiving. Pretty excited to see what they come up with for that building.

If anyone would be willing to snag a 4 pack of DLustra or other DG releases for $ we can meet at DoubleMex pickup Sunday. I'll throw some thank you beers.
