Helltown still exists? If you don't like bitter neipas, stay away from the new helltown neipa
Yam Jam was really nice as the yams were much more of a sweet accent to a tropical and citrusy fusion.Havent seen anything on here about Yam Jam either. Really nice stuff.
Fit for a Hoptopsy, or something newer? I recall Hoptopsy being wicked tongue-scrapey astringent. If you don't like bitter neipas, stay away from the new helltown neipa
Havent had the stout yet, but the DIPA was a love hate thing for me. Flavor was nice but the backend was so ******* bitter I felt like I swallowed a teaspoon of bitrex. Im quick to **** on a beer, but rarely will I actually dump one cuz I hate wasting booze and Im a drunk, but the last 1/3 of the can went down the drain.
I had it at Maggie's farm last night and it was just labelled "helltown new England ipas".Fit for a Hoptopsy, or something newer? I recall Hoptopsy being wicked tongue-scrapey astringent.
Speaking of... My go-to beer for college football season is Founders breakfast stout... Any recommendations for another coffee stout? Preferably in bulk.

I agree that the dg nelson beer was more bitter than usual but I haven't switched to drinking neipas exclusively so I can still handle some ibu's. Funny how things change and stone has to lay off a ton of people.
I know what you mean. I've gotten that from quite a few neipas. I reckon I've even gotten some actual hop pellet residue in cans before from DG and treehouse. I guess there's a fine line of filtration to get that maximum hazebro out of a batch and sometimes you gotta pay the price. To me though it wasnt front of the tongue west coast ipa bitter, it was like crushed up hop pellets sitting in the back of my throat. It reminded me of if you have an ear infection and you take ear drops and it eventually ends up running down the back of your throat and you taste it, no flavor just straight stinging bitterness.
it's not a stout, but, +1 for Founders Sumatra Brown.. one of my favorites for coffee with alcohol. now that breakfast stout is year round, it'll be nice not to have to hoard it. Jackie O's Champion Ground released recently and is still at the brewery if you can or know someone that is going that way.. I bought enough to last me long after football seasons ends![]()
Please go back to giving up.

I had my first bottle last year and was shocked you guys don't talk about it more. It was stellar.
Disagree
I really like heinis good cheer but since it comes out the day after Xmas
pretty sure that's what it's been for the past 3 years. should probably wait until they make an announcement, because the barrels tell you when they're ready. #patienceIs this a reliable release date again this year? Asking for a friend who will be in town.

Last year it was released Dec. 20th. Not sure of the date in 2015, but it was definitely sometime before Christmas.pretty sure that's what it's been for the past 3 years. should probably wait until they make an announcement, because the barrels tell you when they're ready. #patience
Agree with this only because if it was the day after Christmas I would never make it there.Last year it was released Dec. 20th. Not sure of the date in 2015, but it was definitely sometime before Christmas.
