If anyone intends to grab some Infinite Highway Saturday and would like to trade for some Astroid, PM me please. I have some other mostly hoppy stuff I can offer up with or in the alternative as well.
I was drinking Jam & Better side by side for a clip, & to me they're really different. Jam's got the rye/melon hops thing going on, Better's got the tropical/dank thing. And yeah, juicy but still bitter enough to make you feel like you drank a beer.Drank Jam and B1o2 side by side.
Jam - good, not great. Not my favorite version of this style. But certainly enjoyable. Really nice nose...taste didn't quite match up. Chuggable as ****. But too expensive to be chugging.
Better One or Two - better. Maybe even much better. Nose matched up to the taste a bit more. And both were significantly better than they were with Jam. If I were still in town I would be buying this one every time it was released...regardless of price.
Honestly not quite sure why I enjoyed B1o2 so much more as I sit here...cause I can't pinpoint where the two were that different...but that's my conclusion. I think in the end probably just cause IPA vs DIPA. There's certainly a vegetal thing going on with both...that I think most people have been calling garlic/onion. But to me it's more so just a general bitterness. Like these are somehow the first NEIPAs I've had that demonstrate the desirable hazy/juicy blah blah blah, but are still ******* bitter. It's kinda cool.
Swear to god they gave me FH burps too...so majors props for that.

i haven't been crazy about their pale ales and regular ipas. i feel like they're missing something in the taste department. quite a few of them have had a watery finish. maybe i've been drinking them too fresh, but i totally agree that aroma and taste don't particularly match up. the double ipas have been overall pretty great because there's some body and sweetness to back it up. i still don't think i'll be buying them as regular drinkers though for the price but i'll pick them up every once in a while.
Sorry in advance.Pretty sure I just won a trade with dadavat
Thanks for the tasty new pgh ticks (except BOC)!!

At Roundabout I really enjoyed their Hy-n-DryPA
They have crowlers of this? This past week I hit up Roundabout on Sunday and made a stop at BG last night.
At Roundabout I really enjoyed their Hy-n-DryPA and they also had a killer Raspberry Berliner that had just been put on tap. Driftwood also was killing it with the pizzas. I really liked that they have a good amount of outdoor seating.
This batch of Lou and the new batch of Legendary Weapons at BG were top notch. I also like Hawain Mayan, but would love it if they did a brett version. As a "clean" version I'd call it a really good belgian IPA.
No crowlers or growlers on his fruit berliners. I heard the blackberry one that was on prior to this was stupidly good. They have crowlers of this?
I swear I could've drank about fifty of those hyndries.Had one of those last night at Pipers and ****** loved it.

Finally, more Brixton stuff. Here's hoping it's still on when I get back in town next week. Or that it kicks immediately - whichever results in me getting to try more of their stuff locally in the future. If any of yunz are fans of Belgian Pale Ales i recommend the Brixton Roland, on tap at Pipers right now, it's god damn good god dammit.

Has new glarus been completely forgotten on the fruit front with all these new-fangled breweries popping up?Oh, and after drinking a Casey Family Preserves Laredo Plum last night I would like to kindly switch my vote in the great fruit beer debate from Jester King to Casey. Thanks.

Should still be on, they're under the radar enough & it's a Belgian Pale which ain't nobody care about in this town. Finally, more Brixton stuff. Speaking of fruit beers, finally a Draai Laag release I can get down with:
