The Peters GE had bombers from when Port Brewing first shipped its IPAs to Pa for like 2 years on the shelf. The GE Express on 19 regularly sells Headhunter with dates that are 6+ months old. I called them on it once and they looked at me like I was a complete a-hole. While that part is true, it's not because I called them out on old beer. I guess the more people that buy stuff at GE, the more good stuff is left for the rest of us at other locations.
Yeah, I've been getting rid of a lot of those. Although, 6 month old headhunter seem unlikely, but I'll look into it.

Southern Tier 3 Citrus Peels is yikes city.

Why would ABI want that other than to boost their own product ratings?
I honestly (naively?) think they just want the data. Ratebeer used to be the king of beer info, then they got lazy with innovation, got hacked a few times, ignored the fact that people use handheld devices & lost users. I think XV or XZ or whatever they call themselves think they can spark interest in the site again with a mobile platform to go against Untappppppppptghhhhhgpppppd & the user data they could gain is priceless. And can be used to ABI's advantage.

Power move by DFH to inject themselves into the talk too, ain't no way anything gets removed from RB.

Any of you ninjas been to the Southern Tier spot on the north side for dinner? I know what the beer is all about, but what about the food?

Wife and I ate there some random Tuesday a short while back--had the pulled pork and she a burger; we both thought the food was better than expected. I'd go back. Not a huge menu, would probably try a burger or the Rueben on the next trip.

Yeah, I think RB can always claim that their content is user generated and DFH might have to live with that. People that are into craft beer and were regular users of RB might be jumping ship.

The data grab seemed to be why people think they bought Northern Brewer, right?

Thank god for Whole Foods South Hills. That GE used to be decent but it went down hill in a hurry. Btw, I really wish Voodoo would bottle date. I love me some good vibes but I never buy it due to a lack of dates.

Ill have to check out the WF, still havent been in there.

Food is solid. I like the pulled pork, was thinking about going there for lunch today.

Anyone know why BeerAdvocate never got a mobile app?

Such a missed opportunity.

I love untappd though, but it could be better. They seem to be working on updates though.

They did, complete failure. They got rid of it on their own accord.
