Hm. I really do love Vandelay... But, I'm slightly scared of buying their cans after the last few runs have had issues.
i'm going to be over that way tonight. i might have to try a 4 pack after how good that guy was last time (i wasn't crazy about the other two last time either though).

Aren't they canning on their own line now?

As far as I know, the cans that just came out were done at the same place as the ones that people had issues with just a few weeks ago.

Would be happy to be told that's incorrect though.

They posted a video to IG (can't remember if it was to their page or on their story) saying they were finally canning on their own line.

I'll let yinz sound the all clear before I buy any IPA cans from them. FWIW, recent crowlers I had were nice.

BTW I will be leaving kbuzz beerz for you tonight. I'll be at BG on Sunday as well, just not sure if we'll cross paths as I'll have wife and baby in tow and will likely just pick up and bounce.

I would love to see that garbage brewery sell out to ABInbev

I think that any brewery that gives that much control to a non-beer entity does their business a great disservice. MUCH greater, from an individual business standpoint, than selling to ABI. At least with ABI, you know your business is going to sell more beer and, very probably, make more money.

So you figure that entity is in the business of selling less beer and making less money?

Of course not. However, compare this to how well AB did with buying breweries (re: The Craft Beer Alliance) and retooling their recipes and portfolios and you should catch my drift. Just because something looks good on paper doesn't mean it'll work in the real world. How would these "business people" know what is what?

They bought a majority stake in a brewery. You think they did that without tons of due diligence and without making sure they DID know what they were doing?

Who knows? It may not work out but your rationale for why it wouldn't is pretty flimsy.

They also bought an ice cream business and a bunch of others. They cannot be experts in all of those fields.

Not saying that it won't work. What I am saying is that there's more of a chance of their products going downhill than a brewery bought by AB-InBev, who has already learned their lesson.

Most of the breweries that ABI have purchased weren't that good to begin with. Many would argue the same about The Bruery. Their sour stuff isn't very good IMO, but I will still love me a diabeetus inducing BA Bruery stout.

Come on, man. Goose Island, Elysian, and Wicked Weed all make some pretty damn good beers. Most of the other 7 I can't speak for, but I've also heard good things about 10 Barrel and have had some decent beers from Blue Point.

GI I sort of agree with. Outside of Juliet, I'm not much of a fan of their sour or farmhouse kinda stuff. The beers I've had from WW have been pretty good, but nothing that I couldn't get from someone else who didn't sell. Agree to disagree on the others.

Second such reference. What is a Jake from the 90s?
I got this one bros. Please see below kind sir.

But please quit.

Walked by last saturday on my way to M&P and I didnt notice any music.

I still havent been to tako.

Went to pork & beans once after it opened. They were solid, but pricey.

It's annoying as **** to eat in there. The tacos are good, but it's not worth the hassle. It's loud, crowded, dark. Just not for me at all.

Yeah, I loved the food, and it was pretty reasonably priced, but you're right on there. I get annoyed just thinking about that experience.

Exquisite Beast is probably my non-favorite BG IPA. I visited Dancing Gnome for the first time last week, and this was the only hop beer they had on tap. Was very impressed with this, and really makes me want to try Infinite Highway.

Blaring loud techno music at restaurants especially high price points is one the worst trends in the food world. I'll most likely go back and eat those Tacos.

Ate at tako for the first time before the half marathon. Was delicious. Tequila list was awesome. Spent way too much
