One last thing I'll say is this same brewery at the top of the list medaled at GABF for a Belgian pale and no one was calling about that beer or really asking for it. They show up at #1 on a list by paste for an IPA it created a lot of buzz for them instantly. It might not be seen as credible in the beer world, but obviously it was good for them.

Relevance?

Are BA accolades included on packaging?
You're puffing your chests like Paste magazine means something. It doesn't. You think if someone wants to get info about beer they're going to Paste to get it? The only way that tasting could've been less relevant was if it was done by Thrillist.

Grimm Artisan Ales retweeted that paste article a bunch of times and they took 5th.

What a bunch of dummies.
Wait.....

A bunch of breweries retweeted that article.

Are they trying to draw in business?

Is that even legal?

What if they sell more beer because of this article??

Will the accolades go onto the packaging??

Is this gonna affect my ability to check the beer in on untapped??

Will this mean I can get a #Paste badge if I drink the beer and check it in successfully??

What's a blind tasting??

What temperature were these beers served at?

Clean glasses?

Will I ever find Charzard???

It's not 2006; craft is mainstream. The talk beer crowd didn't need to know about general braddock's, we already knew.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think the nominal dogfish, stone, or Sam drinker in/around the area doesn't take notice of this list and check out brew gentleman. This is good for business. I don't really expect you to understand that, though.

It means something to us, and every other brewery mentioned (including Fat Heads and Firestone).

Millions of people read that magazine.

The only thing irrelevant here, sir, is you.

Like a high school student attempting to read 10 chapters of their literature novel the night before the big test, I did some quick skimming over this thread and think I hit the main points. Wanted to say congrats to Brew Gentlemen for their accolade. General Braddock's is definitely the beer I've drank the most of over the past few years, and it's awesome to see how it's evolved over that time to now being recognized on a national level.

Also wanted to say that due to outside factors, I haven't drank much over the past few weeks. In fact, I think I went an entire 12 days without a single sip of alcohol. Those 12 days felt like 12 years. I hope I never have to experience that again.

Having your beer come in that high out of 247 beers in a Blind tasting is a big deal regardless of who held it. Good or bad their beer stood out well enough to place really high. It's not like they are now making a sign to be placed over the UPMC on top of the UPMC building saying they took #2 or something. When dealing with the general public and dipshits such as yourself day in and day out it's nice to have some good news to let you know you're headed in the right direction. I bet if it was a homebrew thing and your beer placed that high you'd be the one putting the Paste in that magazine and it would matter. But yeah they aren't in Butler and it's not brewed by you so It sucks.

As I was thinking more, the least anyone could say is congrats to ZachBrewGentlemen and crew for this. He could have placed on an amateur HAM radio club's annual beer review and you can at least say good job man! Life ***** on you enough, can't you give him this moment?

Yep. Was the first thing I said before the predictable hell broke loose.

Well said Kev...

I guess this is what we all get for not posting during work hours.

You really seem to be hanging your hat on the millions of people who read that magazine. Sure they state they have 5 million unique visitors that doesn't mean **** as far as active readership goes. It's called click bait and all the digital mags utilize it. How many millions are going there on the regular to read about anything let alone beer?

Who needs to be on a list for validation when they've got sheep such as yourself gargling their sacks everyday? I'll start a website for my wife and her friends to do blind beer tastings. Will you hold those findings in such high regard since it doesn't matter who did the tasting? Next time you're in Butler stop by and I'll show you my FIRST PLACE homebrewing awards.
