This shows that the old beer problems exist at all 3 tiers. The brewery/importer doesn't get the beer out quickly enough. The wholesaler can hold too long, Steel city didn't exist or have the rights to 12 percent until 6 months after this was made so, it probably not their fault. The retailer got it a week ago and is selling it now so it is probably not their fault. Everyone does the best they can but sometimes that is not good enough. These logistics problems are harder to deal with than most people realize. If you buy local then you buy fresh (my ******* instructions for today). Cheers

Definitely not saying it's steel city's fault. I brought it to Tim's attention simply as an FYI so they were aware. Like I said to him in a PM, it's not a good first impression for Stillwater in PGH if they are pushing out old beer right after they launched in the market.

So they will age it for me ?
Of course they will but there's a price attached to it. The previous aging fee was $7/year for regular Gratitude so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with to **** up this release even more.

Wow congrats and from GB that we started with to what it is now is amazing. Great job and keep it up glad I can walk to u guys.

Probably because Paste wasn't sent any Voodoo? Valedalay is pretty tasty but it's a DIPA, right? I think the article was rating IPA's and the highest was 7.6%.

Would be interested to see where frosh Good Vibes might land.
Yeah, I skipped that whole methodology section. Would've assumed it would be Good Vibes. And probably wouldn't have faired that well since most of the top beers seemed to be of the super juicy/hazy variety.

Just hoping these national accolades don't lead to huge lines in the process of making BG wildly rich and famous.

****, I haven't had General Braddocks in I don't know how long. Not even sure I've had this most recent recipe for that matter. Guess I'll have to try it next time I go down. Truth be told, I do think it's one of their better ones. Definitely their best single IPA that I've had or can remember at this point.

The ABV limit was set at BELOW 8% ABV, meaning that 7.9% ABV IPAs were accepted, but 8% ABV IPAs were not. This is a difficult rule to make, as many straddle that limit, but it’s a limit that has to be set somewhere. Other than that, all kinds of IPA styles are represented: Belgian/brett IPAs, fruited IPAs, nitro IPAs, etc, etc.

I wasn't a big GB fan when I first tried it last December, but recent incarnations have been stellar. It's now my go to when the current one- offs (I'm looking at you Sonic Bloom) aren't doing it for me.

I'm guessing they did not ask shuggy s opinion on the list, although I'm pretty sure he and Voodoo could not give a flying F about a magazines beer list.

That would have been great if shuggy was one of the judges.

Anytime I see these lists for whatever magazine for whatever product (not just beer) I always think of this:

Yeah, well, fortunately for you, not too many people I know read your little TIME magazine
