Found a place in town that still has KBS at $8 a bottle if anyone is still looking. Also saw a BA Narwal for $25
I saw KBS as well today. Same place or did more shipments make it to distro? FWIW, my place was Gateway Grill.

Anyone know if Voodoo Homestead still has Vandelay on? Their only FB post today is the one about the barrel collection stuff being on.

What'd you have? What were the highlights?
They were only pouring 2 beers. The Pale ale/Lustra and an IPA/Jam. Jam will be an IPA with rotating hops this time it was Australian Vic Secret. Lustra was soft, had a really creamy body, strong hop character that tasted much like a blend of fruit juice( think Tired hands Hop Hands but with citra). Jam was a bit higher in abv than Lustra was. I want to say it was 6.8% or so, def under 7. Maybe slightly less body than Lustra but the hop character was outstanding and really well defined. I can't really pick a favorite but Jam stood out to me due to the Vic Secret used this time. These were essentially large homebrew batches and I'd say they were better than most Pales/IPA's I've had commercially. Easily on par with Brew Gentlemen/Tired Hands/Trillium etc. The recipes may take a bit when scaling them up to the large system but once he dials them in these beers are going to make a lot of people happy.

Finally had Nimble Giant today. Very good beer. I wish it was 8% though. Seems petty, but I think the ABV holds it back a bit.

A tad less ABV and a tad juicier and it's almost on par with Todd the Axeman.

This is exactly how I see it. For reference, I think Todd is the best IPA on the planet (that I've had). NG is slightly boozy and I'm not sensitive to alcohol heat at all. So if I taste it, everyone will.

Yeah, I used Todd as a comparison because NG reminds me of it. Similar color, similar hop character, similar bitterness. I love Todd, too.

I know some people mentioned their BCBS (and Prop) were getting funky. Looks like GI has a better strategy for this refund than the previous one which was just "trust".

Just checked my bottles and it looks like I'm in the all clear. Anyone know if there's a pattern with either of the 2 stamped abv levels?
