Had hitchhiker bane of existence on cask at piper's earlier today. Really wanted to love it, but only kinda liked it.
Hazy AF though.![]()
Do you think it would be better on tap? I'm not sure I've ever had an American IPA that I've enjoyed more on cask. And I love cask ale.

Who's gonna buy a can of BA Gratitude and actually drink it is the better question. Everybody who has any interest in it this go round seems to be for trading purposes. Seriously, if you can turn stakem off from this release you done ****** up.Who's going to flatten a can of BA Gratitude and stick it up there?
Yep only reason I bought it last year was for trades this year I am done trading so I might never step foot inside east end againWho's gonna buy a can of BA Gratitude and actually drink it is the better question. I've never bought any iteration of Grat specifcally for trades but I enjoy it(with some time on it) and people are appreciative when they receive it as an extra. I've been to everything Gratitude since '07 and I have zero interest in this release.Yep only reason I bought it last year was for trades this year I am done trading so I might never step foot inside east end again

This is pretty spot on. 05-08 are really tasty. 08A, 09, and 10 will never be any good. 13-14 are still too young for my liking but 14 has a better chance than 13 does. The Flatitude years are actually pretty nice if you have the ability to carb them but not many can do it.I would be interested in hearing others thoughts on Gratitude. I really liked the earlier versions of it. 05-07 were, and still are awesome. Every time I've had the 08 forced carbed it was also right up there. From that point on though I don't get the same impression. I know those years haven't hit their stride yet, but I don't get the feeling they will. What do some of you younger guys think? How many of you have even had the earlier vintages?
TrolllllSomeone posted a pic of 2014 ba great next to 2015 ba great and they are completely different colors. One is orange and one is brown. Gotta be different recipes right?
Can you post the picture? Had a year old forgotten Pliny next to a fresh one two weeks ago and they looked like completely different beers.Someone posted a pic of 2014 ba great next to 2015 ba great and they are completely different colors. It's two completely different beers. I had both BA vintages and they were very similar in color to the dark one on the right. Here's the picture I saw. Apologies if it doesn't work. I never posted a picture on here. Thats a pretty ******* serious color difference.![]()
