My favorite part was the guy that drain poured MBP. If I remember correctly he also made prior claims to Grist house being the best brewery in the city.. So i guess that makes sense after all. o_O
Vito has many claims to fame. I think in the post you're referring to you he was propping up Voodoo & Hop Farm while at the same time dumping on Roundabout & Brew Gentlemen. People had a hard time with that one.

He also wants to make a large profit (or his friend does) on a beer that he thought was so terrible. **** lords being **** lords.

Thats the one! I can understand why people had a hard time with that.
There will always be a few bad apples i suppose..

Which you were probably right in not bringing this up in our civilized discussion about beer here...;)

As I said the other day... MBP is the best beer that I never, ever want to talk or hear about ever again. It's brought out some real ugly in a lot of people in this community, both on this board and elsewhere. It makes me uncomfortable to watch, so I'd prefer to throw on blinders and act like it's not happening.

Drank a '14 Mirror Mirror last night during the Pens game and I was surprised I had never had it before. Quite a tasty beverage and not a great idea on a Tuesday night.

Also noticed how awesome Deschutes is by providing the recipe for Mirror Mirror and The Abyss online.
That is a very damn good beer

I've been drinking more Deschutes lately. Went on a Fresh Squeezed tear when it was on sale at GE. Forgot how good that beer was. I still can't get into Black Butte but I bought another bottle of BB Reserve because that beer ages really well.

I'm generally much more into dark, BA beers than I am into IPAs...

But for some reason, with Deschutes, I'm the exact opposite. LOVE Fresh Squeezed, didn't enjoy Abyss, Mirror Mirror or Not the Stoic very much.

The last two years of Abyss were the worst two I've ever had. Still good, for sure, but nowhere near the ones I had from '09 through 2013. I actually stopped my vertical, because it just wasn't worth the effort anymore (and verticals are dumb). I used to love that beer though.

Might be able to help a little, I grew up about 2 hours north of there. I don't know a ton about the city, but might have a few suggestions.

**** Starbucks.

Please do!! I will take any and all help for cool **** to do

Some people are just too cool for school

The reserve sounded good. Bought one, didn't open it yet tho

We did a share a bit ago with a '14 Abyss and a '09 Abyss (courtesy london1o1) and they tasted almost identical. I think it was an '09 but since it was Ben's let's just assume it was old as ****.

Yeah, knowing Ben and his collection, it was probably a pre-production bottle that was made when Deshutes was still home brewing, so somewhere around 1985-86ish

I am considering trading my MBP & RBM for some bottles I have wanted to try. Gonna make sure its $4$ because that is the only way I am comfortable trading. Have you guys had good luck on this site trading? It seems like there is so much thread shitting on some of the trades that it is hard to sort through.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Not going to comment on values. I have had really good experiences trading on this site. My suggestion would be to find someone you either traded with before or else met at some point and working that way. I "traded" a MBP and BM Rye and said send back what you think is fair and was overwhelmed with his generosity.

Trade with the one who responds to your thread with the dumbest meme. It'll be a lot to sift through as the list of potential candidates will be extensive.

I've seen a handful of Marshmellow Handjee for MBP 1:1 posts floating around. If that's what you're looking for, it shouldn't be terribly hard to do.

BTW, was there ever a cost per MBP bottle determined? It was just a set price for the whole lot which makes $4$ pretty tough to determine.
