I traded mine for quantity of beers i've been wanting to try. So as not to be a shitlord, i made up the difference with a whole box of surprise extras, glassware, and a bottle of the voodoo barrel aged maple syrup. Both parties are happy with the deal. I went through the No BS Trading FB group since i have friends that have had good experiences there.

Im not picking on you guys, just the most recent people I see with this, but I feel like this word was just made up like a month or two ago on this site. Im not offended by it, but can we stop using it? If I wasnt super lazy I could probably quote 10 more posts with this in it. Not just in this thread, but all over this site, and the other. I guess we can just add it to the list of words to make up the first edition of the Beer Nerd Dictionary.

Side story..I recently met and shared beers with uvm2003 so now I need to meet the third Greg in the Pgh beer scene.

Glad you guys finally crossed paths. You will soon learn that other beer geeks also share a list of other names. Kevin is still in the lead with like 245, Mike is a close second. Greg isnt far behind. One day I hope to meet another Sam.

I think it's a pretty accurate description of the new wave of limited beer release profiteers, although my favorite new term is "grandmule".

Now they just need to do away with tying the number of liquor licences to the population of a county. It would be nice if places that wanted to sell beer could just buy a licence from the government and not have to buy it as a commodity from some guy that is just sitting on it to try and make a huge profit at some point. That's when we'll start to get great bottle shops.

Not cool guys, I didn't get to state my well-informed, educated and researched stance on whether Person A should trade their own beer for other beers. This is a community: Person A is not supposed to trade their own assets without first consulting the rest of us.

Seriously, WHY is manbearpig SO polarizing? Not just this thread, not just this site, but essentially across the nation, people are constantly arguing about it. Why MBP? I don't see as much discussion about any other beer.

It's a mixed bag. It's gotten so hot, so quickly that it's become, as you put it, very polarizing. Some people have never tried it and think it's a flavor of the month that will die out and get pissed to see the trade boards light up with it. Some people have had it and rightfully hyping the hell out of it. Some people just really want to try it to see what the hype is about. And finally, some people just want to watch the world burn. Like any other big release, people get sick of hearing about it and just want to move on to the next thing or back to talking about the classics.

We haven't done our TG stout share yet or our ANTEAD share (or even the old Black Magicks) so I can't compare any of them but the only other stout I MAY reach for over MBP is OG Rare but they are very close (yet totally different beers). DB Huna (thanks Sam) would be hot on their heels. Being local, every other big stout will be compared to MBP for us. Sadly, very, very, very few will likely live up. Good problem to have?

That would have turned into work, so I really wasn't down for that. I guess I am more against "bad men" after learning someone traded DeGarde Doug a MBP and he made a huge amount of money. I also learned that he's guilty of sexually assaulting a 15 year old and other crimes. Sure, not everyone is going to be like that, but you never know who you are supporting.

Now hunterpgh wants Grodd87 to pay him for the 4-pack BUT not actually get the 4-pack from him, but instead get it from Stigs.​
