barflybastard I agree with others as it is not worth the hassle of leaving someone bad feedback unless it is really bad. In the end if you get everything then I'd let it go.

I am in the middle of a trade with someone who has a ton of trades and is well known. It has been less than desirable with communication and he has had to ship two boxes (well I at least hope he shipped the second one). I have no issues with delays as long as the communication is there. He never sent a tracking number on the first box until I asked and I had to ask again if he even shipped yesterday (like he said he would) and if so could he please provide me with the tracking number.

Despite all of this as long as I get my beers he'll get generic good feedback and just go on my personal do not trade list. I am honestly teetering on the edge of kbuzz territory and respectfully retiring from trading unless it is one of my past good trading partners. Beer trading used to be fun before folks turned it into the stock market.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it all works out.

Appreciate the further feedback. Agree with the spirit of what you're saying, but question that: if someone is worthy of a personal DNT list, might they also be worthy of "okay" feedback?

And your situation reads as more frustrating than that of mine. But your trade doesn't sound good or bad, it sounds okay. How many of his other trades may have been similar? If you noticed 100 trades, but 20 okay responses, would you have traded with him? Wouldn't you want to discourage others from the same frustration? Or, maybe he sees 20 "okays" and gets his **** together?

This would appear to be what "okay" stands for. Realize that accidents happen, people forget or put less than their best self forward sometimes, but this can be made "good" with solid communication or honest apology or extras, etc. If it isn't, then when would you feel "okay" is appropriate?

I think it might warrant "okay" feedback, depending on how long it takes him to get you the other beers. Just saying he'd do it "later this week" seems sort of flippant when he made a mistake. If I had done the same I'd feel pretty hurried to rectify it.

All valid points. In the end my motivation lies more around not having to go back and forth and argue with someone upset because they got okay feedback for the next week and then deal with the subsequent retaliatory feedback. We agreed to no extras due to me wanting to use a certain sized shipper. He may surprise me with cool extras for being late, or he may not.

Okay, so I finally figured out how to post video from my phone. I took this at Beers of Burgh on Saturday when War Streets ran out of beer. It got ugly.

Not 100% sure, but I think that's the owner who throws the table & catches the projectile chair while still hanging onto a purse.

I know I'm quite late to the party here so please don't leave "okay" feedback under my name. I'll make it up with a box of extras.

Made it down to jagoffbrewer Anniversary party on Sunday. The Myrcene ipa was really good. Not that I care much about appearance, but it was beautiful. Had a nice deep orange, slightly opaque but not that Hoofhearted forced haze nonsense.
Implement of destruction: yes. Second time I had it. What a phenomenal non-adjunct, non-barrel-aged stout. Seriously awesome. Time to put it in barrels and bottle it so we can start shouting at each other over its trade value. It's really that good. And a little barrel would really add to the roasted, dark chocolate espresso bean flavor. Do it, ya jag.

Also stopped at Insurrection again. Did the cheese and charCUTErie this time. **** me. I was happier than a pig in ****. Highly recommended.

Also grabbed a glass of ChurchBrewCrew thunderhop extreme. Easily my favorite in the extreme ipa category. Should take gold at next gabf.

Sorry I missed ya tommyguz and uvm2003, maybe next time I'll plan a little better.

Anyone going to Black Dinosaur release dinner on Sunday?

Thanks for stopping out and thank you for the kind words. As for the Stout we will certainly be putting some into barrels in the future just right now we are tight on space and have no way to lift a 60 gallon barrel filled. I am not a fan of the smaller bourbon and whiskey barrels we've used so it stayed out. I am in process of trying to obtain some so hopefully that pans out.

We currently do have a breakfast stout and belgian tripel aging in Maggie's Farm Single Barrels. The same one that got BOS in Chicago so those hopefully should pan out. I am filling a Wigle Gin barrel with a kettle soured amber and adding some Brett this Thursday, fingers crossed that it doesn't end up being a drain pour.

Next time say what's up KevBot!

Feel like a huge ******* even asking this, but: has anyone ever forgotten to include items in a trade?

We're not talking a massive expansion of a trade--on his end, dude was responsible for three bottles and eight cans...and forgets two bottles. Said he "spaced out." Knew when he shared tracking that it was light. My box arrived there yesterday, which was the same day he shipped. The delay on his end was expected, because he was to go pick up the two (forgotten) bottles. He's sending a second box with the two bottles "later this week," but curious as to groupthink on what to do about feedback once everything arrives.

He has one current "okay" rating in feedback due to a trader complaining of delays.

Edit: to clarify: not considering giving "bad" rating, just "okay." And only if there are further issues.

I think if he forgot two things but mails them out to you right away as he said then it's a good trade. Things happen people forget things sometimes, whatever. But if it lingers on and he doesn't send the two forgotten ones in a timely manner, then I'd say okay or negative would be fine.

Maybe you won't want to trade again with him, but I think it's fine if he is sending a second box with the beers that he forgot. I know I'd be pissed at myself to create a second shipping cost for 2 beers that I forgot to send out originally.

Yeah man! That'd be cool !

I really need to make it to hitchhiker I have not been there since not out that way to much but diffently need to make a trek out their from what I am hearing on here.

Sorry for the laundry list, but very curious to hear if any of you festival goers had a chance to try Yellow Bridge Brewing, and if so, opinions. OneDropSoup wyckydsceptre ChurchBrewCrew Evahflow london1o1 jagoffbrewer
I don't think I did. The only newer upcoming brewery that stood out to me was Helicon. Other than that I remember Brew Gentlemen's Albatross was completely apeshit, maybe the closest I've had to a HillFarm Double Pale ever but still it's own thing( The Biere de Miel was really nice also), Hitchhikers anniversary Ipa was really good as well, and Rock bottom had a gin barrel saison that was really good and I dislike gin a lot but went and got more.

I may try and stop by BG after work tomorrow but I prefer to lurk in the corner alone and stare judgmentally at people.

Please make the face of you avatar as you lurk. I will likely have on a grey nondescript hat. If I locate you amongst the crowd, I will offer a nearly imperceptible nod in your direction. These are the times we live in.
