Must've just missed you, the imperial stout is very good

Agreed. I enjoyed that a lot too.

All the dumpster fire variants were delicious today at hitchhiker. That jagoffbrewer seems like he may be on to something.

Yeah . I appreciated the mediocre hospitality he showed me as well.

I think I was leaving as you got there too. Sorry I missed ya

So who's gonna hit up BG this weekend for the anniversary festivities?

I'll be there with my one year old. He's... ambulatory? non-ambulatory? Whichever one means that he's upwardly mobile and does whatever the **** he wants now, he's that one.

Anyway, anyone want to mule 8-10 750ml bottles to my car for me? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to logically make that happen whilst pushing a stroller.

I would bet that one of the brewgentlemen guys would help you out if they get a second if not one of the guys on here.. Or just buy a double stroller.

Appreciate it guys. I'm sure I'll figure it out, but it would be cool to meet up with some people for once. Usually I'm solo in and out of the releases as fast as possible, but the wife is out of town so it's just the little guy and I for the weekend.

OneDropSoup is going to be very mad when he has to catchup on all of this **** Monday morning.
Little did you know, I've been following the whole time!

Awesome to see the love for Hitchhiker. The two IPAs I had from jagoffbrewer at BotB were great. Other standouts for me:
--CBWTHXDIPA & Red Wine Barrel Millennium Tripel - the latter reminded me of DFH Red & White without the crazy sweetness & had a great barrel presence
--Insurrection Upgrayedd (I think that's what it's called)
--Bloom Brew Oktoberfest - for being all over the map style-wise, they put together a nice O-fest
--Helicon continues to impress
--Dancing Gnome
I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Didn't make it to nearly as many up-&-comers as I'd intended, but of the 25-ish beers I tried, the vast majority were good to great.

My fiancee lives over in Kennedy Township, so I've been passing the location where Abjuration Brewing is going to be for a while now. There was a small movie theater in the spot they are taking over, and I'm interested to see how re-do the interior.

That said, the street and area where Abjuration is going to be is freaking rough, and I couldn't think of a worse location to put a brewpub. The pizza shop a block down the street has a sign saying, "We will kill you if you try to rob us" with a picture of a gun being pointed at you.

After several negative posts from the weekends event I was waiting for our resident sunshine blower to chime in! :D

What was the dominant style of the day? IPA's I would imagine?

Any other input on Dancing Gnome? How about Abjuration? They are 2 I've had my eye on for a bit now.
Just had their pale (Nollie, I think?) - very much a "now" take on things. Fresh, dry, resiny. As for Abjuration, I just had a sip of their mango triple IPA. Good mango flavor, not hot or unwieldy for a beer of, I'm assuming, double digit ABV.

Yep, IPAs abounded. More sour beers than I expected - both Bloom & Spoonwood had some nice sours, too.

Of the places I wanted to make a point to try, I missed out on War Streets. They had a huge line & ran out by 6:30 (for a fest that ran 5-8 with VIP session starting at 4).

I need to make it down to Hitchhiker.

jagoffbrewer serious question. Kids are cool at your place, yes?
Yes absolutely, we don't have most kid friendly seating or menu but they're cool.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words about the beer but I have some bad news. None of you know what you're talking about because the beer is still in fact garbage. But in all seriousness thanks for checking us out or giving us another shot in some cases. We still have a long way to go IMO but we are heading in the right direction and will continue to do so.

No worries on that, little dude rides deep in his stroller. I hope to make it down there Saturday afternoon, just depends on what sort of mood he's in post-BG.

If you do and want to check out the brewery shoot me a DM when you're on your way and I'll see if I can swing by.
