Haha, but that record doesn't top At Action Park or Terraform. Actually that was probably the least listen to record for me. 1000 Hurts came out during my sophmore year in college and I listened to that album a ton, even though it was kinda repetitive.

Edit: Math rock? Really? They aren't really math rock.
I remember actually seeing that segment randomly on TV. I think it was a Saturday & I was just cleaning & had Animal Planet on in the background. Then out of nowhere, they come back from a commercial break & there's Shellac blasting away in the studio.

I prefer Big Black to Shellac but it's all good and Steve Albini is a bad ass. My ex coworker is now an engineer at Electrical Audio, v jealous.
I prefer Albini the man & engineer to Albini the musician. Dude's just a cult of personality, & I'm always rapt to hear what he has to say. Plus he engineered some of my favorite albums.

tl;dr Big Hate Nate likes some things!

So is this a hefeweizen yeast or just a lack of temperature control?

If anyone goes to jagoffbrewer s anniversary party I would be interested to hear how the beers are. Seems like the reviews have become more positive lately.

Any review stating anything positive isn't worth the garbage cans we ferment our beers in.

But yeah if anyone comes out let me know, I will be around all day. More than happy to show you the compost heap where we source local ingredients. We will have an Imperial Stout and a new IPA on brewed with Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra, Citra Citra, Mosaic, and Equinox.

Albini was just on anthony bourdain a week or so ago...shoving a sandwich in his mouth, talkin chi town life

That Chicago ep of Bourdain wasn't good. Tried to fit too much into one episode. Not enough Albini.

Albini also had a WTF with Maron not that long ago.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there, son!

Did you ever see this?

Wtf is happening here? I'm seeing a very informative video on greyhounds. Is that not what was supposed to be there?

Just got done watching his portion of the episode. How in the **** can Albini claim that "jagoff" is a chicago thing? wyckydsceptre please clarify ASAP!

Always wondered how uniquely Pittsburgh "jagoff" is. Jill Talley (who studied improv in Chicago) uses it in an episode of Mr. Show, & it seems to resonate with the (presumably Californian) crowd.

Anyone know Jake1992 from BA? Looks like this guy traded his entire Voodoo allotment away for beers, and now over the past week or so he is looking to trade the beers that he flipped back for the Voodoo stuff he originally had due to "buyer's remorse".

Looks like I might have to make a stop on my way to MI next week.

Anyone have any idea what's up with the influx of "CO whiskey" barrels in craft beer? Didn't Cycle recently release some stuff in those barrels and I think they're releasing some more "CO whiskey" DOS variants for American Craft beer week....

Is there a distillery out there that closed or is churning out a high volume of whiskey?

That dude is on this site too. Can't remember his name right now though...

I think it's just distillers finally having whiskey that has cellared properly. Craft spirits are starting to boom just like craft beer but a whiskey distiller is going to take 2+ years to get their barrels into the open market. Also one of the biggest barrel brokers is located in Colorado so that might have something to do with it as well. Stranahan's is in Colorado and it is ******* amazing, you can find it in premo state stores now.
