This is exactly what I picture the dude inside the dark little room to look like:

My homer answer would be Don Caballero, maybe? But Battles might actually be the more appropriate incarnation from that family tree to go with.
Knotfeeder was the redheaded stepchild from that fam that got no respect

Met Baymax today. Pretty cool day. Drank some beer at epcot to. Bus rides to the resort are boring
Damn u nothing better then drinking around the world the margaritas in the Mexico r amazing not the frozen stand but the bar in the main building. But damn it sucks drinking in Norway.

serious question- best prices for cases or 30s/36s of macro's?
Looking for something in the middle-to-upper-middle class. i.e. bud, coors banq, labatte bleue, etc.
fermented goat urine Miller is not on my radar. Would love to find cheap 30 of Molson Golden cans though.
if the price was right, would settle for lyte versions of said beers.

My thoughts were initially somebody big like Vecenie or SaveMor, but there could be sleepers I dont know of.

Random question: do you guys know of any saisons that are from Belgium that are barrel aged or is that strictly an American thing?

But Miller Lite and High Life both won at WBC. Does that make you reconsider?

Heading to Tired Hands today. Looking forward to comparing their's and BG's stuff. Anyone familiar with purchasing their cans? Available all the time or special releases only?

Made my way down to Insurrection last night. Though I'm sort of over massively hopped beers, I thought they did really well.

Upgrayedd was phenomenal. I think it can hang with just about any BG beer...
Ming joint was pretty interesting. Quaffable.
The brett ipa was nothing but brett, but I'm a fan of horse blankets and barns and dust in my beer so I enjoyed it.
The Citra single hop was also solid, quite a bit off from other Citra only pale ales, but tasty nonetheless.

And the food. Holy ****. I ordered the salmon and it was as good, if not better than you're gonna get at 90% of resturants. I loved it.

If only it weren't such a drive from my place, and generally everywhere else I go in Pittsburgh when I'm down there.

I may get a beer in Norway next or Morocco. Both are bad. ..dinner in Mexico. Tequila galore

Then Mexico restaurants r top notch. Big river is an ok place to go and the boardwalk is my favorite resort. I wish there was more beer choices at Epcot Germany, us and Canada only places I really get beer sometimes I will get something in England but most of the time it's Jonny walker. Enjoy it tough don't get to go back till November so itching to get back.

We will have to try and meet up down there one time. We get down there about twice a year except for this year it's Disneyland. I'm pretty pumped about all the new attractions coming i.e. Updated Soarin, expanded Star Wars land and also avatar land at AK.

None that are distributed or that I've found. Thiriez has some stuff in barrels that should be coming out soon that will most likely be blended with fresh hoppy saison(like bfm 225).

I always get a boddington's in England.

They had a delicious Pils from Italy as a special brew for garden fest.

The bartenders have been civil at best and overtly condescending at worst. They act like you should be honored to drink their beer and be in their presence. It is just very cliquey. They seem to spend all their time bull-shitting with people who are there all the time praising them about how unique and progressive their stupid beer names are. ie: "Eventually We All Just Fade Into The Grey Oblivion" "Freedom From The Known" "Imagination Of Ourselves". I like Bill Hicks as much as the next guy.. but seriously?

The first time I went I asked for 2-3 4oz samples, the dude rolled high eyeballs out of his head (instead of just explaining why they don't do that). They only serve one at a time for "optimum temperature" which I would get if they served the beer at the right temps, but they don't (stouts are ice cold). Again it's fine they do that, but don't act like I'm some kind of pleb for even asking.

Tried both times when I visited to try and strike up a conversation just about the beer in general, and they literally just stare at you and walk away. Such a weird vibe in that place.

Hm I had a different experience when I went today. I overheard the two bartenders speaking to each other about how they could make two guest's experience better because they kept on asking for things which were at the fermenteria. Were polite the entire time, offering them alternatives as well as detailed directions to the other location if they were inclined to walk over. Also, I asked when I started off it was easier for the bartender to pour a few 4ozers or do one at a time and he told me one at a time was better for him, so that's what we did. When I asked if they poured for other companies' growlers, they said they would gladly trade mine for one of theirs if I didn't want even more growlers lying around my place, and I promptly handed over my Giant Eagle Market District 64ozer. It couldn't have been a better experience.

I had it last week for the first time and thought it was on point. But not sure if I could put down more than a pint in one sitting. VERY flavorful.

yeah i have been over there a couple times and thoroughly enjoyed it. i'd put them on par with roundabout in terms of hoppy offerings but still think BG is better. however, the food is definitely ******' legit, especially if you take a look at their cheese or charcuterie lists.

if you're looking for a twofer and are carrying some pussy weight with you (aka a woman), check out Bakn on main st. for lunch or brunch and insurrection is only 5-8 minutes away.

"Pussy weight" hahaha.

Dude. The cheese list was intense. I honestly didn't even know where to start. I'll definitely visit again and dabble in some cheese and beer pairings.

The Brett IPA at Insurrection is pretty awesome. Overripe Melon and sweaty Pineapple. Had the Nelson double Ipa which was good but I feel like Nelson has to have some other hop backing it like Amarillo or something to really get the best out of it. The Ipa's are great there but what people aren't talking about is his barrel aged stuff that should probably be out this summer. The guy knows saisons/wild ales/mixed fermentation really well. We are going to have some fun sub 300 bottle count wild ales soon enough.

Bane at Hitchhiker is really good, Andy has that water profile dialed in and finally has some hops to work with. That beer is straight up juice and will only get better. His saison has quietly been wrecking **** over there as well. I'd say the best clean saison in Pittsburgh.
