Do you also hate cinnamon, cacao, vanilla, coconut, coffee, berries, etc in your stouts? Go back to RateTaco.
No I love most of those, except cinnamon.

There's a place for all those kooky variations and I enjoy them. However. When there's 3 places to get a good no frills taco, but 69 places to get "modern fusion jerk off" tacos, there's a problem.

It's like it Cigar City made Huna first, then had a festival every year where they only had a really good stout without a ton of **** in it.

I have somehow - in my 30 years - never been to a Burger Hut. This blows peoples' minds when I tell them that. I need to change this.

I didn't really develop a taste for Burger Huts until i was in my 30s so i wouldn't worry

I love Rey's. Also Burger Hut II (the one on the hill) and Natili's downtown.

If you had said W Ricks too you would have summed up every trip to Butler i've ever made.

EDIT:multi quoting like a ******* boss

I'm not sure which place you're talking about, but Bea's is across the street from Banksville beer, just a little bit closer towards the city. Aren't there a few indian places on Banksville? I've been meaning to try those as well.

That's the place!

For Indian, usually default to Tamarind--love that Masala.

I'm not sure i get the disdain for mad mex on here. We go there all the time. I wouldn't call it mexican food, but the chicken chimi, tofu tacos, and wings are awesome, and they have a good kids menu. The drafts are high priced but they always have a good $5 22oz draft of the month special, or happy hour.

Whurr my Butler homies at?

Edit: I haven't been to Rey Azteca since high school, and I was either drunk and/or stoned any time I was there. But I remember really loving it.
Rey Azteca is still great. BYOB as well(bring your own glassware unless you wish to drink out of a plastic cup though). Plus it's just a short drive to experience the magic of Reclamation.

All dems bolds--that's what I'm saying.

The best taco in the city is at Cafe Nikos on Mt Washington on taco Tuesdays. 2 tacos, 3 dollars. I'm pretty sure they don't resemble a real taco at all, but they are large and they pair incredibly well Skoal Cilantro and a Newport.

So what did you end up with to try to cure your hangover?

Follow up question: do you still have a hangover?

Follow up to the follow up: what are you drinking tonight?

Burger Hut used to be a favorite but it's no longer open for late night drunken grubbing so don't go much anymore. The Hoagie Shop right across the street from Burger Hut II is great and cheap.

Just went to Ricks for lunch today. Always enjoyable and there is always something on tap or in bottles that's serviceable.

Resident Mexican chiming in - the only places worth mentioning here are La Palapa, Las Palmas, and Reyna's/Edgar's. Taako, Smoke, Round Corner, and that half vegan place on the northside don't even belong in the conversation. I would rather get plain steak tacos from Emilanos, Mad Mex, Campesinos, etc before a $6 kimchi dust wagyu hamburger tacos with local feta served in a flour tortilla from the latter four any day of the week.

Some ******* things in life should be sacred - and one of those things are tacos.

Bea's Taco Town on Banksville is pretty awesome. I've been there for lunch 4 or 5 times since they opened last month. I haven't had any of the meat yet because all of the vegetarian tacos and burritos have been so good.

EDIT: http://beataqueria.com/

Just went to Bea's for lunch before I went to BoB on Tuesday. There are actually 2 locations downtown both on Smithfield. Theyou started on the South Side, sadly they didn't last there long. Then La Pala pa came. That was going to be my original reccomdation but I really enjoyed Bea's. There is also Doce taqueries in South Side. Haven't been there yet though. Man I miss that place:(.

Follow up follow up question: Why would someone rub Skoal AND smoke?

Nothing at all exciting-sounding about this beer, but the name is funny:

I live like 300 yards away from Rick's. Been drinking there since I was 16.

This non-exciting beer certainly won't suit my extreme lifestyle.
