Resident Mexican chiming in - the only places worth mentioning here are La Palapa, Las Palmas, and Reyna's/Edgar's. Taako, Smoke, Round Corner, and that half vegan place on the northside don't even belong in the conversation. I would rather get plain steak tacos from Emilanos, Mad Mex, Campesinos, etc before a $6 kimchi dust wagyu hamburger tacos with local feta served in a flour tortilla from the latter four any day of the week.

Some ******* things in life should be sacred - and one of those things are tacos.

Tell us how you really feel. :D

I enjoy all of the places you mentioned.

I'll see myself out.

I make my own tacos as much as I go out to get them. My favorite ones to make are my La Lengua and Al Pastor hybrid. I basically just take the recipe for Tacos Al Pastor and sub in tongue for pork. Is this sacrilegious?

I think it's....

You are a god

Edit: assuming it's only onion, cilantro and lime on top

Bea's Taco Town on Banksville is pretty awesome. I've been there for lunch 4 or 5 times since they opened last month. I haven't had any of the meat yet because all of the vegetarian tacos and burritos have been so good.

Nah, when I do Al Pastor I'm doing the whole shebang. Pineapple and all.

When I just make La Lengua, I use a dick ton of cilantro, onion, lime, avocado, and the green habanero hot sauce.

Corn tortillas only for La Lengua.

I trust your opinion and will be going there soon

Where on Banksville? Please tell me it's not that building with the revolving sad handmade banners (or it may be innately doomed)? I mean the place that was a pizza place (at least once) and an Indian place (maybe twice)?

We've since moved, but I was so excited to have nearby Indian place (the first time), but, by the time I made it down there, it was another pizza place again.

Bea's has a location on Smithfield St downtown too. That little cup of stuff that they give you is insanely hot. Last time I tried it I'm pretty sure it scorched my intestines.

Do you also hate cinnamon, cacao, vanilla, coconut, coffee, berries, etc in your stouts? Go back to RateTaco.

I'm not sure which place you're talking about, but Bea's is across the street from Banksville beer, just a little bit closer towards the city. Aren't there a few indian places on Banksville? I've been meaning to try those as well.

There needs to be a Taco and Tome day sometime. Al Pastor is my favorite, and La lengua isn't far behind.
