I can't believe there has been an entire page on here about not being able to order beer from some site. Wine I would understand. I'd be fully torqued if I could order whatever wine I'd like that doesn't see importing in PA. But an IPA? Not a saison, not a lambic not some esoteric magic made in a shack in actual France but an IPA? Really? IPA? Maybe I'm the minority but I can't remember the last distributed IPA I bought in package form. There is such an embarrassment of riches here locally that I haven't even thought about buying a canned or bottled IPA unless it was a god forsaken Monday/Tuesday. Long story short, Todd the axeman can suck a fart out of my ass and take a ship to India or something.
Hah, the stupid thing is that I think you can order wine in PA, just not beer.

Also, I think that some of us are such ferocious tickers that the idea of a new out of market ipa, however good it may be, is more enticing than local stuff. I always wondered if Stowe people get sick of heady cause I don't think I ever could.

Well, the order actually started with a BA Darkness and Bent Paddle BA Double Black. The Todd was just to fill out the box.

... Just kidding, of course.

Feeling embarrassed for ordering an off the shelf IPA. Probably be banned from this site soon.

On to a more important topic, if anyone is interested in swapping some OBB for some soon to be released Exquisite Beast, please PM me.

I only bought a 4 pack of obb but I'd swap a can for a can of Todd the axe man

I'll talk about some beer, thought Penn Oktoberfest is rill good this year though beerman6686 will say it tastes like butter cuz son don't know about melanoidins. That Sole Blurred Lines Pils is straight fire & their Peach Smoosh tastes like weed.

Oh & jagoffbrewer is brewing a Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs Milkshake IPA.

i never dropped off a package at fedex before, i usually just do pickup at my office. do they ask you any questions if you have your label printed or can you just roll in and set it down and leave?

Have the label on the box ready to go. Most places don't care, but occasionally you'll get a "hero". I sent out from Shadyside FedEx no issue. Best bet are the office stores that do shipping as well. Probably will never question you.

I box and label at home, schedule a FedEx pick up and leave the box by the garage when I leave in the morning. I just don't ship when it's too hot or too cold.

Hell yeah man! Penn Oktoberfest this year is spot on. Picked up a 4 pack of pounders last week at Duffy's and was quite pleased. Gonna get some more this weekend.

I shipped a good bit of packages and never once was asked what is in the box. That's with trading and work related shipments. I typically would go to the FedEx Shipping Center in Plum and drop off.

Don't worry about if they ask what is in the box. You're just a paying customer providing loot to their salary.

thanks, i ended up dropping off at a walgreens that accepts outgoing fedex packages, which happened to be closer anyway

Anyone who has ever met me can attest that I haven't ever said anything seriously ever. My post was satirical, I'm guessing it didn't come across like that in text. My point was people in this thread complained about local beer for so long. Now we have local fresh ipa that is just as good as anywhere else. I prefer that. People can buy old schwarzbier and Guatemalan children as much as they would like to, the internet is a magical place. I buy packaged shelf beer all the time. You are right about the lack of fun in this place though. It probably left when everyone started taking everything said so seriously.

I was at least 15% sure you were kidding. Drinking a mass produced packaged shelf Cocoa Jesus right now and loving it.

didn't rocky erikson run a record shop in the burgh after he had a manic episode and had to come live with his french horn tooting brother? vibes.

Usually the only comment my way is: let me weigh it and get you a receipt. Sometimes heroes want to ask about insurance and how it's packed and if they can unpack it, in which case waive the insurance and throw a "thanks" as the bells hit that closing door on your way out.
