How would "hype" go away? People aren't going to just stop drinking IPAs. If they haven't lost the hype by now, they never will. People believe they are the best so that's what they will seek out. Just because they can make it for cheaper because of economies of scale, there's no reason to lower the price unless someone else starts making a similar substitute at a cheaper price and more accessibility. This is just my opinion based on people perception of Tree House. IMO BG>>>>>>TreeHouse.
people tend to want what they can't have. once treehouse loses its exclusivity of having to drive to the middle of nowhere to wait in line, i'm betting that hype will die down after a while. look how easy pliny is to get now.

edit: this is all under the assumption that i don't think treehouse is god's gift to brewing either

re: hop hype...

I legit still think headhunter is better than the majority of the oft-discussed hoppy beer out there. I think I would even go so far as to categorize it, nearly exclusively, as a flawless beer. But I don't see any ISOs on the trade forums for that ****. A while ago, when I still traded, I went on a tear of posting up FT: HH threads just to raise awareness cause it pissed me off how overlooked it was. And I actually got multiple bites every time I posted it.

This whole beer thing is just so weird.

Head Hunter is one of my all-time favs. I still prefer West-Coast style IPAs, with some bitterness. I find them to be more "quenching"...which seems strange considering brewers are just trying to make orange juice.

Always found it strange that Head Hunter, while highly regarded, always managed to stay somewhat below the radar.

I just bought a 4pk of it on my lunch. There are very few IPAs out there that I'll reach for over a Head Hunter. On top of being great, it holds up very well. I have no issues drinking a 3 month old Head Hunter knowing there will be minimal hop fade.

I also bought a 4pk of Breckenridge Nitro Orange Cream Ale. I know it's going to be a letdown but I have to try it.

Head Hunter sucks though.

This only happens if they make an insane amount. They could triple production, and the same people who line up, will line up and buy 12 cans instead of 4.

Head hunter isn't even canned. How is it supposed to generate any (K)buzz?

Edit- quickly googled if it was indeed canned because I have no idea. Didn't find anything. I'll leave it.

I did just come across this image and did some loling. But the Bruery stout/large fries comparison has me wondering why london1o1 doesn't look a lot more like me..

Probably two years ago my dummy wife domed a whole bottle of Chocolate Rain. She consumed 2,000+ calories in one sitting and later that night I had to scrape her off the bathroom floor. I told her not to do it, but you know women don't be listening.

When I was moving last fall I yolo solo'd a black tuesday for cellar consolidation. My ass was a broken fire hydrant the next day.

Been there, done that. Zero regrets.

The night I moved into my house, I took down a bottle of '15 Black Tuesday by myself. I was pretty damn buzzed by the end. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that I probably have quite a few lbs on your wife. That's really impressive.

She was wrecked.
