Unfortunately, Grit & Grace closed down. Shame too, as I loved that place. That pork belly dim sum they had for like $5 bucks was delicious.

Cafe du Jour in the Southside is probably my favorite eatery in the 'burgh. Cure and Soba are up there, but I don't think I could eat there every day like I could at Cafe du Jour. The outdoor seating area is beautiful, and it's also BYOB which you can't beat.

How about favorite restaurants/eaterys?

Here are some of mine:

Altius
M&P
Two Brothers BBQ
G&G Noodle Bar
Gaucho
Luke Wholey's Alaskan Grille

I'm a yuge fan of Wholey's in general. Have been to the grille twice and thought it was great. When I die, bury me at the summit of that shrimp volcano..

Sad about grit and grace. My wife and I really liked it there. Is Tako still playing extremely loud music at night?

Walked by last saturday on my way to M&P and I didnt notice any music.

I still havent been to tako.

Went to pork & beans once after it opened. They were solid, but pricey.

Ha! Only time I ate at Tako it felt like I walked into the techno room of Matrix. Dark as **** and house music just blaring throughout the restaurant. I was halfway waiting to hear "JOHN GARABEDIAN'S OPEN HOUSE PARTY" announced through the speakers.

It's annoying as **** to eat in there. The tacos are good, but it's not worth the hassle. It's loud, crowded, dark. Just not for me at all.

Yeah, I loved the food, and it was pretty reasonably priced, but you're right on there. I get annoyed just thinking about that experience.

Exquisite Beast >>>>>>> Pacific Standard

That is all.

Exquisite Beast is probably my non-favorite BG IPA. I visited Dancing Gnome for the first time last week, and this was the only hop beer they had on tap. Was very impressed with this, and really makes me want to try Infinite Highway.

Blaring loud techno music at restaurants especially high price points is one the worst trends in the food world. I'll most likely go back and eat those Tacos.

I remember watching Chuck's Day Off years ago and thinking, "That must be ******* irritating as balls", when the DJ comes on at his restaurant.

Did you meant to say "favorite non-BG IPA"? Otherwise, I'm seriously confused.

Id be happy if I could just buy some stuff like tired hands or pizza boy somewhere. Just on the other side of the state so its confusing why I see so little of it around

Those places are going to be few and far between and you're probably going to have to pay a premium for them. Ho1KB, D's, and maybe Beermuda would be a good places to start, but they're no where near you.
Carson deli and Piper's both have pizza boy stuff on fairly regularly.

Yeah maybe he can bend over and set up a trade raping with Jake from the '90s.

Amazing how values change when you are trying to trade away or trade for. And he wonders why he looks like such an idiot.

So, is that fb group frowned upon in general? Seemed to me like a perfect place to trade local IPAs for ma/vt IPAs. Which was OP's specific request.
