awesome man, appreciated...

absolutely...back when I frequented ho1kb, I always ended up leaving with at least one JP bottle. Was even worth it with the markup ($18 maybe)...and that's another thing, they're prices are totally legit.
Yeah Me too. I don't think I've seen an offering over $14 in retail for them other than in Pa and even in Philly most bottles are $13-16. Jolly Pumpkin widely distributes beer that is half the price and twice as good as most breweries limited releases.

Did you guys get a chance to try the Calabaza Boreal? It was their collab with Anchorage, both brewed at their own brew and bottled at their own brew house. Both versions were very good, liked the Anchorage a little bit more.

I had the JP version and was really surprised by how good it was. Would like to see what the Anchorage version was like, but these are best when a side by side is an option. I do like when both/multiple breweries each do a version of their collaboration. Also since we are talking about JP I opened an old bottle of La Roja, think it was an 09, a couple months ago and it was fanfuckingtastic. By far best beer I have had from them. Wish we had better access to their stuff around here, would even settle for OH getting more of their stuff. Maybe that will happen now with the ABV cap being lifted?

On a Spoonwood note, does anyone know the brewer at Spoonwood? He lives near me and dropped off a growler last year for me to try, which I really enjoyed. Does he post here? He was a nice guy but I was talking to him on BA so I don't have the connection anymore.

It is Steve and he is a nice guy; he's @SpoonwoodBrewingCo in another life--think he's been more recently active there.

I'm curios to see how these liquor law changes will effect beer availability at giant Eagles. I would bet that the selection will suffer because of this. There will be more room for people above Randy to decide what you should have access to. How you should choose. It's a scary time to have giant eagle as the biggest craft beer seller on he area. Unless Randy gets promoted of course.

This was the most recent tap list posted on June 3.

Edit: Forgot to comment initially how this is probably the best the Voodoo lineup outside of Barrel Room days. BoC and Cowbell? Unrefined and Big Secret Pizza Party AND Vandelay?

I was just thinking I kinda want to drive to Homestead to drink Vandelay, Unrefined and Big Secret in one sitting. That's amazing.

Stopping in to say a few things.
I like Jolly Pumpkin
I also like cascade because sometimes I want something aggressively sour and these guys and Bruery are probably the best tasting example of something like that.
I hope randy gets promoted and GEMD beer selection doesn't suffer

Did Unrefined have simcoe in it last time or was it only mosaic?

::multiquote warning::

Heading to Vermont today on a little beer acquisition trip, and just to visit in general.
Anyone have any experience doing this kind of thing?
Planning on staying 2 nights in Waterbury, trying to chase some Heady/Lawson's deliveries. Making the trip out to Hill Farmstead tomorrow, and probably checking out the pubs in Waterbury in the evenings.

I'm going off the delivery schedules on each brewery's website, but if anyone has experience specifically with picking up SoS and Heady, how long it lasts at places that take delivery, etc. I'd appreciate any advice!
I've had experiences with heady lasting til 11-11:30 from the 9am open. but that was also a yr n change ago. people tell me there's now tickets at the door for the allotment they have. I've never had to do that luckily.
SoS has smaller limits, so I would plan on going to two places so you can pick up more than 4 or 8.

100% confirmed all of 12 Percent Imports beers will be carried by Steel City. Can't wait to have Aginst the Grain Brown Note turding up the shelves.

anyone else ever see this image as the deuce actually spewing from his trousers, between the legs?
the leg hairs even look like accurate creases/crevasses.

so much for our share :*(

Looks like via untappd it's described as

"IPA Brewed with a rotating variety of Hops

Batch 1: 4/16 - Galaxy and Mosaic
Batch 2: 6/16 - Mosaic and Simcoe"

I'm afraid to ask...but does anyone know a place that sells crisp thin crust pizza? Not like Il Pizziaolo or Piccolo Forno, but more like Chicago style. Preferably cut into squares...
I'm sorry, but it appears that you are looking for pizza. That is not an option here: you'll have to travel out at least a 150mi radius for that. do not pass go. Do not collect $100 $200.

Edit: been a while since I sat down for a multiple day board game.

I have a raging Bonino right now. It's like a boner, but with an Amish beard and great hockey sense.

Doesn't exist around here, fell in love with pizza like that when visiting Northern Illinois U, some bar on the main street with a old cash register, that's all i remember besides how super dope it was eating a whole pizza one small crunchy square piece at a time. Sorry, hope you find some peace of mind bram.

Sports!

Considering today is game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, let's reminisce about the era in which the Cubs were last significant, shall we?

This is what airplanes looked like the last time the Cubs won something important (as opposed to a single game on 6/8):

Here was the red/blue split when Taft got elected the year that the Cubs last won a championship:

Telegraph messages were still being used when the Cubs could last be called champions of anything...here's a really weird example of one from 1908 transmitted by Alec:
