Any idea what the effects of pitching two yeast strains wil be? I pitched 1 bag of WYEAST 2001 (Pils Urquell) on day 1. After 24 hours I pitched some Saflager-23 due to lack of fermentation (I should have waited longer, but I'm inpatient). Any idea what will happen? Will one simply outcompete the other for nutrients? Hope it's the Wyeast!

They have very similar activity profiles and neither one makes K1 factor (they are not killer yeasts). I bet that you will find a mixed culture +/- say 30%.

Its all academic now.
