Is there supposed to be an o-ring? Sorry, noob here (to kegging).

One keg seals fine, the other hisses badly on the "gas in" post.

Lube doesn't help.

yes there is supposed to be an o-ring inside the post and outside the post. how long does the hissing last? you will hear a hissing till the pressure inside the keg equals the pressure you are trying to push into it. also keep in mind some of the CO2 may be absorbing into the beer causing it to take longer to equalize.

The hissing stops when the keg has de-pressurized entirely.

So gas off, it lets all of the pressure out of the keg.

well then in that case you are missing an o-ring somewhere. take apart the post and replace the o-ring .... the new o-ring should fit around the tiny stub dip tube inside the post. also there should be one around the outside of the post as well. might want to think about replacing that one too.
