I was in IN last week and tried champagne velvet from Upland on tap at a restaurant. It was terrible. Like beginner homebrew.

We finally got a decent Pils available locally, courtesy of Great Raft brewing. Usual Pilsner notes but mainly just a solid, crushable brew.

The bar I work at recently got a keg of Rothaus Tannenzäpfle Pils, which I’ve never seen on the west coast. It made me extremely giddy because it was a beer we drank a ton of in Berlin, but I wasn’t sure if it’d be as good as I remembered. Turns out it was even better than I remembered! What a perfect beer.

One of my absolute go to beers in Germany, a fantastic pilsner. I haven’t seen it in the US at all.
Can you all get Neumarkter Lammsbräu pilsner? Another phenomenal one, which just happens to be organic.

Has anyone tried Prima since it was apparently reformulated in the past few months? I was kind of bummed to hear it was changed at all, but it's kind of disappeared altogether in my area anyway so I was only ever able to revisit it (at least fresh) when traveling through Pennsylvania. The changes including lower bitterness are mentioned in this article.

Didn't know it was reformulated but I had one last week and it was really tasty. Definitely a great "keep in the fridge for any day" beer.

I enjoyed Palatine much more: it was crispy, clean, and had a nice bitterness. The Sante Pils has an interesting character (from the yeast?), maltier, and lacked a finishing bitterness. It was was a fine beer, but I didn’t want to crush it like Palatine.

This is such a great beer. Crisp, a bit fruity, herbal. I love it and wish I had more.

The little corner pharmacy near my place carries pFriem pils, so I always grab another six pack when I'm running low.

Unfiltered Urquell in Pilsen and a ton of tank Urquell and tmavé pivo in Prague. So fresh, cheap, and delicious.
