Today I did my first yeast harvesting of a batch 3068. I had to go out and by all the canning stuff which was easy to find but i couldnt find a 1 gallon glass jug so I bought a 1 gallon jar of pickles to use that jug. I cleaned it out as good as i could and boiled it and everything but the lid still smelled like dill pickles after scrubbing then boiling. I only used the 1 gallon jug to wash the yeast so will this have an effect on yeast?
