Attempted clone of Sweetwater’s Goin’ Coastal and I added 2 oz of Brewer’s Best pineapple flavoring at kegging to 5 gallons. After carbing, the aroma and flavor is too much. Any way to subdue the pineapple a bit? I don’t want to drain pour it because it’s otherwise perfect.
Maybe the flavor will subside after some time? Thanks.

Yup. Lesson learned. I even added half of what I thought I’d need. Oh well, I’ll let this batch sit in the fridge while I brew another. Thanks.

I did a pineapple lager a couple of years ago and used 2 oz of pineapple extract. It was undrinkable for the first few months but I try never to throw out any brews. After about a year it had mellowed out. I have a couple of bottles left after 2 years and it's pretty good. In other words, it will mellow but not quickly. Next time I plan to use 1/2 - 1 oz.
