Blend 24oz frozen blueberry, 24oz frozen pineapple, 1 1/2 cup water, 2tsp vanilla, 1/4tsp salt, and 1/2c sugar
Pour blended mixture into a pot
Use 1 1/2c water to shake out the blender and pour into pot
Bring mixture in pot to a boil and simmer for 20~ minutes
Strained the boiled mixture with a metal strainer, played with the pulp but did not force it through the strainer, let it strain for about one to two hours and played with it every so often, like folding it and stirring it, but never pressing it through the strainer
Added strained mixture (juice) and filtered water to 3 gallon keg (about 3 gallons total)
Carb at 25psi
First pour was delicious and had the strongest head foam retention, maybe from the pineapple? Could use a bit of citric to brighten it up, so maybe one squeezed lemon next time. Could increase the sugar to one cup. As is, about 231g of total sugar (100g from 1/2c of sugar, 68g from blueberries, and 63g from pineapple), which is about 9% of the total sugar of a can of Sprite!
I would add a bit more vanilla, maybe 1tbsp total and more sugar
More fruit would be good too, but its expensive and i cannot justify making an overly expensive sugary water drink

i had extra space and my wife has been spending a lot on flavored seltzers lately so it tried my hand at flavored seltzer and it came out really good.

3 rose hip cherry hibiscus teabags in 200 ml of 170 degree water steeped for 30 mins.

the juice of 2 cups of fresh dark cherrys.

triple filtered tap to 2.5 liters.

i chilled this and carbed it way up to 30 psi.

its surprisingly good. better than the store bought seltzers.

very low calorie
