I've been in the market for a large (ca. 10 gal) SS pot.
After looking in used restaurant supply stores, E-bay, etc, $59.99 for a reconditioned keg with a hole cut in the top is looking pretty good.
A couple questions:
1. Can anyone tell me the exact dimensions, specifically the diameter and the configuration of the bottom? (there is a lip around the bottom, correct?) I need to make sure it would fit on my propane burner.
2. How hard is it to drill holes in one of these? Is this something I can do myself? (Special drill bit required?) Or realistically is this something that needs to be done by a machine shop? (In which case I'd just go for the pre-drilled $99 job with couplings).
Thanks.
