Ok, so I was really in the mood to brew a batch today and this happens. I typically warm up my malt extract in a pot of warm water, while it's in it's container, because it's easier to pour. Well, this new partial kit I bought has the malt in a plastic bag not a container. Long story short, the bag melted through. So I had to toss it, because I was afraid the plastic leached into the malt. Anyway, now I don't have any malt. I'm guessing the wort should be okay for the next 2 days and I can just boil it and start over again. My thought being that there isn't any yeast in there and as long as I keep it covered on the stove it should be fine. It's going to boil for an hour anyway and that will kill anything.
Any thought????
