This is what I discovered. Was it just a specially selected barrel or something? Wasn't JCN just a specially crafted batch of Classic? It's just Cuvée des Champions/St. Gilloise.
JCN was in some kind of wine barrels. You could actually taste the difference, barely, as some harshness in the finish. It made Classic Gueuze worse, IMO.This is what I discovered. Was it just a specially selected barrel or something? Wasn't JCN just a specially crafted batch of Classic?
I guess it doesn't matter. I won't ever try it! Plus, I can't taste rarity...
interesting. Joel and I will need to reassess out latest craft project....JCN was in some kind of wine barrels. You could actually taste the difference, barely, as some harshness in the finish. It made Classic Gueuze worse, IMO.

Yes yes we all know that JCN would be stupidly easy to fake.interesting. Joel and I will need to reassess out latest craft project....
Not like anyone would... I'm working on a Soleil de Minuit clone! One scoop of this into a classic gueuze and put it into a french press. Let it infuse, then drink up! But this is COMPLETELY off topic... sorryYes yes we all know that JCN would be stupidly easy to fake.
Well, it's on topic if you count your eventual posting of it on MBC.Not like anyone would... I'm working on a Soleil de Minuit clone! One scoop of this into a classic gueuze and put it into a french press. Let it infuse, then drink up! But this is COMPLETELY off topic... sorry

Solayel Dee MinYouEt.Well, it's on topic if you count your eventual posting of it on MBC.
If you win the LIF, you will likely get to try it. (It's en route).Bier Circus is all sold out. On the plus side it sounds like something that I wouldn't like all that much, so I'm fine with it.
You're insane! If you win the LIF, you will likely get to try it. (It's en route).
No it's presumably not empty, he puts "sealed bottle" right afterwards. I'm not entirely sure why people do that; is it a habit left over from the Ebay days, or is it so MBC doesn't run afoul of the law?
It's rarer than a wale. It's a unicorn!!!
An Uli gueuze
I'm sure Uli would be thrilled by this development. An Uli gueuze
I wouldn't pay $950 for that. Brah is storing it on its side.
I have a 1987 in my basement, so I have a hard time believing that 1995 is all that rare...Here's that same guy who was trying to sell that SA Triple Bock for $250. Now it's a 1995 Thomas Hardy for $500:

He's also stepping up the hyperbole:
"The rarist of rare. I am unaware of any remaining bottles in the US & only a handful in the UK."
I'm sure Uli would be thrilled by this development.
