These kinds of trade float all the time on local FB groups. Half the trades are all FT: something kinda hard to find on the shelf locally ISO: limited brewery-only releases. When people point out the bad trade they get mad at people for ruining the trade. They almost always justify it that they just heard about the beer from a friend (random person on BA) and thought it was a fair just so they can try it. Like the fact that you want to drink the beer somehow makes it less valuable to others.

It's like these trades are secret codes from larval shitlords to full shitlords that they are ready to proceed with the next level of the secret society of shitlords.

My guess is that for a lot of them, they see it on the BA Top Beers list and get instant FOMO based on the rating.
