Sounds like you're doing it wrong.last I checked I open way more money in beer then I have ever sold... not sure how that is a "income" lol
I've never sold or purchased beer, nor am I part of any Facebook trading/selling groups, but is there really that much money to be made on hoppy cans? What does a 4 pack of Tree House beers go for? You'd have to be moving a hell of a lot of cans to make a living doing that, and with allocations so low, it seems like more hassle than it would be worth. Then again, I'm incredibly lazy and mostly like to drink/hoard beer for myself.
So many locals complaining about the secondary price for Juice Machine on Facebook and BA. If people are willing to pay it, then that's what it's worth.the new ******* TH selling at 75 per, sooooo. **** everything.

Still scummy to some.So many locals complaining about the secondary price for Juice Machine on Facebook and BA. If people are willing to pay it, then that's what it's worth.
The idea some guy waiting in line for an hour has a higher profit margin than the brewer is ridiculous, no way to stop it unfortunately. Not a fan of it myself at all.i feel like you can't express displeasure at the secondary market without getting an unsolicited lesson in economics. like yeah, we get it. we aren't asking why. just saying it sucks.
Juice machine isn't that good anyways, at least to me. I'll never understand secondary IPA sales.
I hope he meant 4 pack at that price which is still ridiculousI've done it a couple of times when I was super eager to set up a big blind taste test of some sort and wanted to get everything really quick so it was all the same freshness (or roughly so). Usually this has taken the form of "here's a new IPA release from a brewery in NC or SC, let's get some Tree House and Trillium and see how it stacks up" and I end up just buying a few cans rather than trying to set up a trade (which honestly for Tree House cans is often a real headache). I'm talking more like stuff in the $10/can range though. Yes that's still dumb, but I'm definitely not paying $50-75 for an IPA ever.

Beer is good, beer people are stupid.Only thing I would pay that much for would be lambic. No, people are seriously paying $50-75 for one ******* can of Juice Machine just so they can get a tick that I'm guessing isn't much different than most other Tree House DIPAs (I've not had it).
i have seen severallol dontdrinkbeer are you serious with that Twitter post? Are people really trading for empty bottles of Byzantine Vision from Bottle Logic so they can return them or something due to infection?
i've seen a few posts now on reddit that are offering proxies for people to swap theirs out. I've seen a post or two on facebook where people are asking for empties but i'm hoping those are jokes...lol dontdrinkbeer are you serious with that Twitter post? Then again, I also don't understand why people gamble at all. You are literally giving your money away (or paying for the fun of the game you're playing, even though those games are easily playable for free).
If you need that rush of "winning", go throw disposable income at pink sheet stocks. At least the odds aren't completely against you (if you aren't inept) like they are at a casino.
Are there? Not to belabor the point, somebody who lives in the general area picks up cases f heady, focal banger, crusher at the brewery once a week, makes a well timed trip to treehouse, stops at trillium.... It's not much work at all.Yikes. There are way easier ways to make $30K a year, that's for sure.

30k tax free is what, 50-60k per year before taxes, FICA, jealth insurance are taken out?
And while I'm not giving tax advice here, that money is absolutely income and taxable. God help anyone truly running a business like this who's cheating the tax man...
You do need to factor in:
-shipping costs (sometimes, this is occasionally included and occasionally the responsibility of the buyer)
-shipping materials costs
-gas costs/wear-and-tear on the vehicle
-time (which has value since it could be used doing something else, like making an hourly wage) spent packing, purchasing packing materials, dropping off boxes, driving and waiting in line for beer, etc.
Maybe that doesn't dip that much into the ~30k, but it's got to add up to something.
