I got the wiring diagram today and I have one more question...can 16g be used for the wiring?

The diagram I got earlier shows 14g being used, and the J.C. instructions says, "Use wire no larger than 12 AWG when connecting to the two lower terminal blocks"...yet it doesn’t state what is the minimal gauge allowed.

I'm not an electrician so I rather ask than do

The amount of load will determine the size of the wire. If this is for a fridge/freezer conversion, I would use 12ga to be on the safe side. I would not use 16ga. If you are still unsure, offer a six pack of homebrew to an electrician to do it for you.

Check the current draw on your appliance. That will determine the correct gauge to be used. In most cases, 16 AWG should be fine.
