Agreed I am using it more and more especially in my apa and ipa. Originally used Magnum and have since changed my mind not likely to go back either.

Although I did think the same think about chinook today when I was brewing. But columbus really is one of my favorites.
 
I've used Columbus with good success as a bittering hop as with such a high AA it can be added late in the boil and still achieve the required IBUs.
 
Bittering, flavour and aroma....I love columbus. Definitely my favourite hop at the moment. The piney bitterness is delicious.
