Just brewed an IPA with coconut in it. Really like the flavor but i get an oily feel in my mouth and tongue that is quite noticeable. I used unsweetened shredded coconut and it was added to the boil and fermentation. Anyone used coconut before? Wondering if the oily feel was from the boil or fermentation, or both? If i can pinpoint which one contributed more to the oily feel next batch i will not at it during that step.
As well, if anyone has encountered this oily feel from coconut, does it go away with time?
