Can you change Stillwater Classique to saison instead of specialty grain? Not sure who categorized it that way, but corn and rice aren't exactly wild and crazy. Plus, it's a saison.
Official policy, I am lazy and from now on won't do anything unless someone links the beer here.

Also, if you want to do some easy change like that there's a "suggest edit" button buried somewhere in the app. I think some people (who aren't me because I'm lazy) go through those queues and make changes.

Will link next time. I've made the suggest edit at least 3 times now and haven't seen the change, so thank you thank you thank you!

Oops, spoke too early. Don't think it was done yet. I proposed the edit on the website, and here's the link to the beer:

Well this should be unsurprising, but it's been switching back and forth between Saison and Specialty Grain for over a year and a half. I'll switch it and lock it for edits, that'll probably put a bee in someone's bonnet...

Haha, thanks. Have no idea what a "Specialty Grain" beer even is. Surely wouldn't think corn, rice, wheat, etc. would qualify.

stupac2 Would you be able to have this changed to Goose Island Brewpubs instead of Goose Island Beer Co.

I've proposed the edit a couple of times in the past 2 weeks, but it's not getting changed. Someone added the details that I included with the edit which says in the description it was made at Goose Island Brewpub.

Why are IPAs showing up with vintages? I've noticed this with Double Jack, Exponential Hoppiness, and now Pliny the Younger. I'm sure there are more out there.

Is that something I can flag for merging, or do they want it that way?
Someone accidentally aged an Expo for two years and we drank it and check into a 2012 expo in February 2014... It was delicous BTY... Tons of oak flavor and a still faint dank hop flavor. It was very surprising...

Which 2012 Expo? Winter or Summer?

I was just being snarky. If we start listing every batch of of beer...... ****! Seriously. But, you know, that's just like, my opinion, man.
I thought that, but couldn't tell if SRS or not SRS... you didn't leave the ;) or  or :D. So your tone was completely lost... ;)

On vintages... peeps listing vintages of SN Torpedo? Come on. That's just absurd.
See above. It's just impossible to draw a meaningful distinction that lets you have Cantillon Gueuze or La Folie but not Torpedo. Well, besides just listing styles where it's allowed, but for some reason that solution has never caught on.

Sooner or later vintages will all collapse down and be invisible on search, making this mostly moot.

Yeah, I was just pointing out how ridiculous it's getting. I can see how it'd be a nightmare. I mentioned it on twitter once and got a flood of backlash from peeps telling me why they do it for these sorts of beers... funnily enough "to boost my unique count" wasn't one of the reasons.

Yeah there's 0 reason to do it with something like Torpedo otherwise. SN is annoying because they put dates on a lot of seasonals even if they don't change at all and are garbage for aging, like Ruthless Rye.

But, whatever, I don't give a **** if someone wants to inflate some dumb number on a dumb beer app, it's not like it matters. We just want to keep everything clean for people searching for stuff.

Not sure how to report this as a bug through the app, but:

- I rated Altamont Scarcity as a 4.0 last year
- I checked in to it last night and upped the rating to a 4.5 (it displayed correctly)
- Checked on a 'toast' this morning and saw that it was a 4.0 rating, so I updated it to 4.5. Refreshed, it showed 4.5
- Checked it again later, back to a 4.0

???

More details:

- If I view it from my user history page, the check-in shows up as a 4.5 rating (correct).
- If I click the actual check-in from my user history page and view details, it shows up as a 4.5 rating (correct).
- If I click the check-in from my notifications page and view details, it shows up as a 4.0 rating (incorrect).

Ratings are now done on a per-checkin basis, so if you check in multiple times with different ratings the rating for the beer as a whole becomes ill-defined. It's possible that there's a better way to handle this.

That's great, because I'd love to see the trend with time for various batches, now that batches have been lumped together. I'm just saying that the Notifications page appears to point to the wrong rating for that check-in, and it may be pointing to the original check-in rating. If someone toasts a check-in, the click on that check-in should take you to the information for that check-in (location, date, rating) as opposed to a hodgepodge of information (location, dating, original rating). Seems like bad code somewhere.

Greg asked you to send screenshots. If you want to, you can e-mail them to me or to him at greg at untappd dot com.

EDIT: Apparently he has since better figured out your issue and supposedly has pushed a fix for it. He recommended force-quitting the app and restarting it and trying again.

Damn. I just sent screenshots before I saw your edit. Oh well.

A friend of mine who has been on untappd for about 2 years now got 15 badges today. 15! At first it was just funny. Then it was a little weird. Then they just kept coming! I've never seen anything close to it. She was just on 4 of 5 on a bunch of badges and hit them all the same day while also ticking off a lot of these new ones. 15. That's crazy, right? RIGHT!?

Hope this is a new one for you.
When I upload pics on the app, I can crop them a bit, make sure the beer shows. When I upload via computer I am not given any crop option, and sometimes the resulting pic will only show half the beer (or less if it wasn't centered).

Is this a known inconvenience with a solution in the works? Can the photo-handling be improved, such as squeezing down landscape shots instead of doing cruddy cropping?
