Does transient do any wrong? Im trying to think of my least favorite beer from them and its kind of like picking your favorite kid...
In terms of styles, no. Very versatile.

If I had one minor gripe it would be carbonation. Aside from growler fills, hoppy cans, or stouts, EVERY damn bottle of Transient's wild/sour/saison/pales/etc is overcarbonated. Not necessarily gushers, but when it take 3 minutes to pour a glass, a tad less carbonation is desired.

I had a completely contrary experience with Apricot Foeder 2-Electric Boogaloo, both bottles I bought were practically still.

If we're picking nits.....Thai Maigre...puke
My wife loved it. Me, not so much.

Overall, I have had nothing but a positive experience from Transient in general. Now that the weather is getting nicer, may be time to start resuming the weekend jaunts down there.

Once the carb settled a bit, this bottle was on point. Big funk, but crisp. Always kick myself for not picking up more of certain bottles when there...

This stuff is beautiful! blueberries, light honey, funk and oak. Shes a gusher though so be prepared!!

I honestly thought exsqueeZe me was a malty mess....aside from that straight money shots

DB Obelus Galaxy was everything I'd hoped it would be. Dry. Lots of Brett. Some tropical fruit from the hops. A delight.

Sporadic 1 Wine tatted up quite a bit. Quenching tartness rather than overt sourness. A bigger bolder malt body than other wilds/saisons. A bit of a gusher but the carb in the glass was reserved.

Flightless is a wonderful refreshing beer. Friends loved it to. Light and balanced. I'd still take Cromulent but it's not a wide gap.

Whatever smoked meats and pickles that are available at Bridgman Meat Market just down the street from Transient. Stop 50 for pizza on the way back to Chicago.

Was coming on to recommend exactly this. They just fired up the smoker for the season today so stuff should be ready starting tomorrow. Since they were limited today we got some house made bacon burgers and they were really really good. Nice people in there, too.

If any kind FIB would be willing to pick me up a four pack of Juice is Loose, I can reciprocate with cans of Flightless/Cromulent (not sure if these are still available, but can confirm that both are still in peak form as of last night), cash money, or other options. I work downtown and I can probably get to wherever in Chicago you are for handoff pretty easily.

can you meet tomorrow in the city? I'm doing brunch at Duseks tomorrow.

Had it last night and agree it was tasty all tho ours was a big time gusher
Interesting, I bought it Friday and it sat in a 42 degree beverage fridge for about 24 hours before opening, no issues. I'll add, the nose on this beer is incredible.

I also wanted add to my earlier comments about getting a very low carbed (nearly still) bottle of Apricot Electric Boogaloo. I had messaged the brewery several months ago and they made good with a replacement bottle. Customer service like this is one of the reasons I will continue to support this brewery.

And then we crack Electric Bluegaloo last night and I end up licking it up off the counter (not really). My first gusher from Transient but not much product loss (because I immediately pursed my lips around the top of the bottle). It must have been kind of funny to watch, I'm sure.

In other news, Cromulent is on point.

hey I didn't see this message till after I left, If you still can make Duseks this morning I can spare a couple cans from what I bought.

I'll be here till maybe noon, 1 at the latest.

Sorry I missed you -- one of my kiddos went down with a fever. Appreciate the offer for sure.
