Introducing the first Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout produced from our new Michigan location! This yuge Imperial Cream Stout has millions and millions of flavors from the massive amount of vanilla we added after it spent 10 months luxuriating in the finest bourbon barrels you can even imagine. Trust me. I'm not going to say it's the best beer anyone has ever made, but people are saying that. I heard it many many times.

Come in this Thursday starting at 4pm EST and wrap your tiny hands around a bottle of this Bad Hombre. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Limits and price are TBD. $1 from every draft and bottle will be donated to charity.

The ISO's in the FB comments have.

Shameless groveling cuz nilla.

I see that all the time on FB and Instagram. Do breweries like that they have stuff that can be traded or do they hate it? 50/50? I don't know... if I were a brewer and saw all kinds of "ISO" comments on a post, I think I would be very annoyed.

Seems like if ppl are looking for your stuff that would be a compliment, or if they line up as the same. Yes I'm sure it could get annoying but what would be more annoying is if no one bought your product???

Shameless 2 cents I guess.

What producer of consumable goods anywhere has ever been annoyed at the concept of people wanting their product? o_O

I guess if it's being traded for other consumables, then sure - good things all around, everyone likes having their product be popular and sell out. I think the sketchy part would be if people are buying your product to just flip for a higher price but that's something that's been beaten to death and not something I'm into.

I see the comments all the time people going "ISO:" on the posts and I think it would be annoying to me, but that's why I'm not in customer service. The general public are awful.

If you're "flipping" it for profit then yes, that's pathetic. I would create a no sell list for that type of situation.

new membership info for out... Changing it up. Personally gonna miss the discount on togo bottles. But more off drafts is good since Inhead up every other week.

i'm torn on whether to renew. i don't head up super often, but i could potentially see myself going up for more releases if i have bottles or cans reserved, depending on release circumstances of course. i think i might give it one more go this year and see how often i wind up actually going.

Same. It's on the way to my parents' house and I'm still torn on whether to re-up. I definitely get more bang for my buck on bottle discounts since I'm usually only having 1 or 2 when I stop (and I'm sure as **** not visiting my parents 20+ times per year). Right to reserve is definitely nice, but my trips are pre-planned. I'll give it a go and see if it works out for me. Guess I'll be getting more growlers this year.

I understand the concern with the new membership, but it was becoming necessary for a few reasons. As I mentioned before, we had some issues with people who were not satisfied with the first Michigan membership, and that made us look at how we could solve this so that we can exceed everyone's expectations, and if we could not do that, just scrap the membership entirely. I think that the main problem was the perception of value. Most people that complained said they were not in the area often, so taproom discounts did them little good. For us, that is the central point of this membership and why we constantly mentioned it in our invitation to join, and in the benefits listed on our invoices. We have worked for years to finally open a taproom, and therefore want our supporters to come in often and experience our beer on site, and see all the new and weird stuff we are putting out on draft and in bottle. We do not benefit from being in a large metropolitan area, so it is important that we entice our customers from a larger range. When we only see a member once in a year, and that is only to pick up reserved bottles, that is not ideal for us.

We know that taking away secured bottles and bottle discounts will limit who joins our membership, and that is OK. If you join, we expect that you will get value from what we offer. If you don't think you will use those benefits enough, then you can come in when it is more convenient for you as a regular customer, but at least there is no expectation that we are not living up to for our members. Everything else (when it comes to those variable benefits for certain releases) are all extra for being a member. We always give our members more than we promise, and try to provide all our customers the best experience possible in our taproom. That won't change, but at least the expectations of us are reasonable for everyone who joins.

Cheers and thank you guys for the incredible support!

fully understand as to why you're doing it the way you're doing it the way you are. i wish i could make it up more often, but hey, circumstances prevail. keep on doing what you feel is best for you and your business. regardless of membership status, i'll keep buying your beer and stopping in when i can.

next day edit: i renewed.

Dude... this stuff, is fire!! Easily one of my favorite transient beers yet! So ******* good!!

The only way to know is to start lining up now. And don't forget to post "ISOs" on their Facebook page, even if you're getting in line now because they only way we get our own Treehouse is if we hype it ourselves.
Maybe if we hype it enough we can trade Transient for Treehouse to avoid having to send BBA stouts and fruited lambics for cans of Julius and Green. ;););););););)

Maybe, just maybe... :D

Treehouse cans are never worth the trouble - would rather drink shelf Half Acre cans for the rest of my life

I wasn't being serious, post edited to added more ;););););););)

With the recent explosion of NE style IPA's in the region, not sure why anyone would bother trading for Treehouse.
