Bummed that I missed out on the Double Barrel Obelus with Galaxy Dry Hop (assuming that's what you're referring to).

there was a oaked galaxy obelus that i think popped up for the first time around either the first or second illinois releases (but wasn't actually at any of the events). i think that's the one being referred to. it's one of my fave transient releases, definitely.

I thought I remember it being an extra (non-member bottle) sold at one of those first two parties?
It's also one of my favs as well. The Dry hopped DB Obelus was pretty damn close though.

From the May 2015 email from Chris:

"Oak Aged Obelus Galaxy- Brett Saison that was aged in barrels that previously held Pentameter. Champagne-like and developing acidity in the bottle."

Yeah, that beer was ******* goooood.

i opened my double barrel obelus w/galaxy last night actually; it is well-made but for my taste there is a hair too much wood flavour for me. something i would probably feel differently about on a different day, i suppose, but if you like a bit of wood 'bite' you will love this beer.
Oh yeah, make me even more depressed that I didn't get the correct bottle!

I had ordered a bottle in addition to the rest of the Michigan Society releases, but when my proxy picked everything up, he was given a second bottle of regular Double Barrel Obelus, instead of the Galaxy hopped one, and didn't know to check. Womp womp.

I accidentally got a second dry hopped DB Obelus that's yours if you'd like to try it.

Have always said this, would be nice if there was another retailer in Illinois that carried Transient beers, hopefully closer to the NW burbs. Beer Cellar is closest proximity to me, but its still almost 40 minutes away.

Doesnt make much sense to send beer to Capones and The Beer Temple when they are so close to each other. Why not hit another area instead?
