I was pondering starting my drive to NJ for the holidays early tomorrow evening so I could pick up some Transient hops on the way out ... but I'd have to be out the door by 5pm in order to be sure of making it there before they close at 8 and I can't be positive I will.

What I'm saying is that I'm mad that Transient is in the eastern time zone making this stop unlikely for me. I feel that as a member they should accommodate my time zone preferences and stay in central time.

Unacceptable.

They need that ambiguous time zone variance like West Lafayette had back when I was in school where the time never changed. Half the year on eastern and half the year on central. It was gloriously nonsensical.

To those people complaining about the membership, don't sign up again so someone that will appreciate it can become a member. If you frequently buy beer there, the 10% discount easily makes up for the difference in the price of the membership.

Wow how many cases of cans did Transient just sell in 3 hrs?
A **** load! If i had to guess id say like... 250-300??? So many people wheeling out 4+ cases it seemed like..

Im just glad chris and rachel started a draft line separate from the can/bottle line.

Dat cask cake n bake and foeder 2 doe... damn!

So kind of sounds like they won't make it till Friday huh? :(
From the sounds of it, JiL sold out yesterday evening.

When you have people buying 5-10+ cases at a time, it disappears quickly.

Selfishly, I really enjoyed the quiet releases with no lines earlier this year but businesses have to make money to survive, grow, and expand. Congrats to Transient for their well earned success!

Ah well, Can Shitlords gonna Can Shitlord.
Half Acre cans for Christmas it is.
I'm sure I'll get the try Resinate on tap in the future.

I've never understood what someone does with 100-200 pints of beer meant to be drank as fresh as possible.

i was thinking the same thing. i do all sorts of foolish justifications in my head to make spending too much on beer okay, but the idea of dropping five hundred dollars or more on cans of ipa is a stretch. unless four-packs are gonna be stocking stuffers for all the nieces, nephews and assorted youngins.

In actuality, we only had a handful of people buy more than 3 cases, and imposed a limit much earlier on. In the future we will likely start with a limit of some sort, and narrow it down as we go (for Juice at least). This was our largest yield yet, and it lasted nearly as long as the last batch (which went out on Thursday and lasted till about 1-2pm on Saturday), so everyone still had 2 full days to get some. Now it is on for growler fills and there may be a surprise for all you Illinois types out there before the end of the year...

Are you planning on being open normal hours next Fri and Sat? And are you guys planning on closing shop for the month right after the New Year?
Bro in law is in town and was hoping to persuade him to take the drive over before the taproom closes down.

We will have normal hours on the 30th, but will shorten our hours on the 31st (it's my girlfriend's birthday, who is also our bartender). We will announce that when we figure it out.

As for January, we will be open on Saturday's. My assistant brewer, Brendan, offered to keep things running once a week, so we won't be completely closed down.

opened my last bottle of pentameter batch 1. i didn't think that beer could get even better than it already did, but holy ****. really ******* good right now.

Still have one lurking around. Excited to open it soon. I'll be heading up Friday, hopefully see some of you there.

forever ISO Pentamater b1 and Oak Aged Obelus: Galaxy
Bummed that I missed out on the Double Barrel Obelus with Galaxy Dry Hop (assuming that's what you're referring to).

I had ordered a bottle in addition to the rest of the Michigan Society releases, but when my proxy picked everything up, he was given a second bottle of regular Double Barrel Obelus, instead of the Galaxy hopped one, and didn't know to check. Womp womp.
