Excited for my second trip next Saturday... not so excited that the weather looks crappy..

Edit: but i guess that just gives me a reason to go take some pictures at grand mere!

Looks like I'll be making my first trek around the lake next Friday. Much excite.

Early or late in the day? I'm taking a 1/2 day on Friday to head to Ferndale but will be making a few stops along the way. Would love to hook up and give you all the glassware that has collected at my place for you ;)

Did I miss holiday hours or is it still 4-8? I'll be there open to close most likely.

Big changes to Michigan Membership. Honestly it makes sense.

Who were the ******** sending him hate mail that the member bottles aren't exclusive enough and he is hurting the trade value by selling them in the shop to the general public?

A couple of them have posted in this thread.

i laughed sadly at the idea that someone would complain about low prices.

really? you wanted to pay more? so you could buy less beer?

I just read this... I cannot for the life of me understand why people would complain that prices are TOO LOW.

Transient - you gotta do what's best for your business. I'll be here no matter what - your beer kicks ass.

i couldn't believe that either. then i could, because **** chicago beer culture.

Transient , you should absolutely continue doing what is best for you, your family, and your brewery. if that means cutting out shitlords that either resell your beer for profit or want you to only have releases where you wait in 6 hours in line for one $50 bottle so they can trade it for another $50 bottle (or both), i'm ecstatic. good riddance to bad rubbish. i'll stick to my delicious beer being available without a giant hassle and at great prices.

also, i opened a saison blend #1 a couple days ago and it was delicious. i loved going to pick up my bottles and seeing all the cool stuff on the shelf, and every single one i've opened yet has been a hit.

I mean really.. did anyone here actually join with the point of wanting exclusivity?

I joined because I wanted to be able to just get the bottles (Any, All, Whatever) easily without standing in line.

I don't care if other people get them. I actually encourage it (Again, because I don't have to worry about getting in a line at 4 AM for them). **** is good.

Question - So Illinois membership remains largely intact, correct? I seem to remember renewing that a couple months back.

But Michigan is explicitly changing as detailed in said email, yes?

i didn't care about exclusivity much, and like you, i wanted to join primarily to avoid lines. if chris had promised exlcusivity but not delivered it, then i could understand at least some degree of backlash. but i'm pretty sure that such a thing was never promised, and anyone complaining about it after multiple membership sessions can go pound ******* sand.

I think some of this is coming from MI members who thought they were getting into an exculsive club type thing...
