Betise Batch 2 is far superior to previous versions. Dark malts and spiciness. A warm heat in the chest as it goes down. This is one of best- if not the best- dark sour I've ever had.

Really? I'm leaning more and more away from heavily acidic things and this is nicely balanced to me.

What I had on draft at the last release kinda killed my tongue. But perhaps the bottles are different.

I thought the bottle I opened a few days ago was less sour than what I had on draft. I was worried about making it through the bottle based on that experience, but I had no problem.

I agree with danbanana, just a beautiful nuanced beer.

It's definitely up there for sure. I was pleasantly surprised by Rare Barrel's Shadows of Their Eyes. I've never been a dark sour fan but these two both were so well executed that I'm ready to try more.

Had Blackberry Maigre and Whiskey Presque this weekend courtesy of powz87, thanks again man!

The maigre was great, fantastic color. Only frustration is that it was in a 500, I could dome magnums of that easy.

Whiskey Presque was really weird. I don't think any of us disliked it, but it was very, very strange. I get the feeling based on the descriptions that a lot of Transient's beers, especially the barrel treatments, are a little out there... Is that accurate?

I got some of the bottles from the first release still. I'm sure many others do. It was less than a year ago.
