Blauw labeled as oude gueuze? Crazy.
It was 10 or so bottles at a Zwanze Day a few years back.
Blauw is 3F...Zwanze is Cantillon...I was under the impression they didn't exactly agree on much...
According to the homie BucketBoy Joe:
It was Zwanze day at Monk's bar, not at Cantillon, so I don't think any relationship between the breweries was a big issue in the context. Monks rewarded the first-comers who had waited outside with bottles for purchase at the door. Blauw had been packaged in OG bottles so that Tom could sell them to-go legally since the label was not cleared. After the 5-10 Blauws were gone, Malvasia '02 bottles were sold to the next X # of guests.

FWIW, I got one of those Malvasias that year. Here's a pic:

I repeat: thanks for invite.

Yesterday was a good day for me and 7 of my closest friends.

I wanted to proper all of my de Garde glasses (all 16 excluding the stoneware offerings) so I traded for a bunch of dG bottles and decided to share them all with some of my friends. They brought the food and I supplied the beer/glasses. Thanks to Rau71 TheBronze anteater oregonskibum Bobbyk503 and many others for trading me glassware or bottles (or both!) Without you guys, I couldn't have pulled this one off. Also a huge thanks to degardebrewing for making such awesome beers and glasses.

Needless to say, everyone had a great time and some great beers were shared. My only regret was not taking good pictures of all the food!!! 16 hour smoked butt, homemade buffalo chicken dip, home smoked salmon dip, and much more.

Here is the list of the 16 bottles I decided to share:
Saison Premiere
Nelson Hose
Special Rouge
Tableau Rouge
Printemps Melange
Biere Rose
Biere Noir
Bu Weisse
Passion Bu
Ginger Bu Rice
Purple Raz Bu
Imperial Berry Bu
Imperial Cherry Blu Bu
The Archer
The Lily
The Lucy

Certainly not cheap and something we do very rarely, but with this many people involved it helps defray some of the cost. Also helps to have gotten bottles a few years ago when they were "relatively" cheaper or to have connections to lambic for more reasonable prices/trades.

Killing it, per always.

Man, that SAM looks so, so, so disgustingly bad. Was the 3F mag '04? Cannon or dud?
Did you guys enjoy the Scoop-a-loop? I want to hate that beer for what it represents but I keep hearing it is awesome.

SAM has always looked like that every time I have had it but I always enjoy the beer. It tastes like a butterscotch candy to me.

Mag was an 04 and was awesome. Amazing carb.

Scoop: interesting how they made a beer taste like strawberry ice cream but was way to sweet for my tastes and not something I desire to try again.

I enjoyed scoop a lot. I've had it twice in the past month and I think it's the real deal. Like Brian said though, it is sweet.
