That's nothing honestly. I've seen the bidding go as high as $110.Still got sold for 40€, damn!
That's pretty crazy for a glass that young but this one was only shipped within Belgium so it doesn't surprise me that it would go for that much internationally. That's nothing honestly. I've seen the bidding go as high as $110.
Couple new bottle dates;
GCB 21/4/2015
Iris 18/12/2014
Do you guys have the lambic year codes up anywhere on the site? It seems like this varies from producer to producer, but I guess it would help in decoding some of the bottle dates. I'm particularly interested in Lindeman's at the moment.
New cantillon date
RdG 29/4/2015, naked lady euro
750Size?
No but it's something I need to get on the site for Lindemans becausesomeoje else here did figure it out and I confirmed it with a contact at the brewery. The following example:
LD04NGC
L is for Lindemans
D is fourth month (April)
04 bottling day of the month
N is the year A=1 N=14
GC is Gueuze Cuvée
Lindemans seems to go back and forth between simply stating the date and using that code sometimes. Not sure why.
Thanks, Adam. I had that much figured out. I was looking for something along the lines of how the years match up to the letters. When did the cycle start? What is this years' letter for Lindemans?
Oh I get it now. Gobshite
Not sure if this RdG label is much different then the others listed, but I didn't see any with the dates and bottle numbers like this one.

Someone brought that into my brothers bar to share with everyone. Damn, I wish I wasn't home sick last night. That's the very first bottling of RdG. Jean posted a picture of him opening one recently on Facebook.
it is old. friend got one directly from a collector in belgium and he owned it for a long time some can date back before the 90s possibly 80s and it was their main glass for a long time but it's hard to narrow down how many times it was produced and if you do have one in possession its definitely not easy to know the exact year it came out. even if it was available up to 2011 i think the value will always go up because at this point its not easy to come by. i see quite a few of the script glasses pop up on ebay but the fountain one rarely doesThere were still some webshops selling the Fountain as late as 2011. So it's not as "old" and "vintage" as most people think.
This. I'm sure 3F has used this glass design for the past 20 years. It would be impossible to tell if someone has a glass from 1990 or 2010. No one knows how many were made and when.it's hard to narrow down how many times it was produced and if you do have one in possession its definitely not easy to know the exact year it came out. even if it was available up to 2011
I think that's mostly because they don't sell for as much. Right now pretty much any Belgian who cares to look can see that those script glasses easily pull in 100+ Euro for something that they can find at thrift shops for <1 Euro. So of course that's what's selling. I wouldn't be surprised to see Fountains tumblers doing the same thing, if people keep paying absurd amounts for them.i see quite a few of the script glasses pop up on ebay but the fountain one rarely does
I'm glad I don't drink Cantillon regularly enough (and certainly not at home) to care about acquiring any of the glassware. I really would like to get one of those 3F wine glasses with the big 3 on it sometime, but I'm not about to break the bank for one.
Yeah if you want the 3F wine glass you can throw one into any etre box for basically like 5 euro extra. If you don't want to do that I'm sure they're not too hard to trade for, since they're so easily replaced.I'm glad I don't drink Cantillon regularly enough (and certainly not at home) to care about acquiring any of the glassware. I've tried to do some research on the Fountain Glass, however it's been very difficult to confirm anything. However based on what I recall the "3" glass replaced the Fountain around 2010. There were still some webshops selling the Fountain as late as 2011. So it's not as "old" and "vintage" as most people think.

thats a great picture! i saw most of your photos via facebook but are you gonna upload them to the site soon or on here?Came across this photo at the brewery yesterday, and the date on the barrel is 1977, and the photo paper said 1978 on the back of it.
